Well it took a while but the apparel store is finally up and running. The link is on the Main Menu at the end of the list. Please let me know what you think about the current selection and if you place an order let me know how that goes. I will be placing some orders soon so I will post back on the experience, etc. This is a pretty large shirt fulfillment company though so there shouldn't be too many issues. They are sending me an example of the logo on a swatch. Will keep you informed on that.

On another note is there anyone who might want their real name or call-sign on the shirt below the logo? They can do this (add that as part of the ordering process), I just wasn't sure anyone would want that. Just let me know.

Thanks,
Jim

Ralph,
I am sure they can do either your callsign or first name or last name, whatever you'd like. They may have a character limit though.

I will email about adding the name functionality for the shirt.

Ben,
Hold off a day then. They will probably have that option set-up tomorrow.

Thanks!

Pete,
Doing OK so far. We are starting to get up to the point where the server bandwidth (how many files are downloaded, etc) is probably very high. I am hoping to attract a big-name advertiser for the site if that becomes an issue though. All is well for the forseeable future.

I wish you and others further out could make it to AMPS. Maybe some year soon the national events will be more central or out in the south-west somewhere. We are actually considering moving west soon anyways. Perhaps Nevada or California (central).

Thanks for all the support guys! (+ gal)

I will have to talk to my wife and see if she will let me get a new shirt. I like the colors and it looks like the shirts are good quality. Good job getting that all set up. One suggestion I have would be to enlarge the pictures of the light and dark logos, I can't see them well enough to decide which one I want for sure. Great job putting this all together.

Brian,
They seem to have all the necessary country and province stuff on the order info screen. I guess they just want you to put that in and then they will contact you by phone to let you know what shipping is (that seems expensive - overseas call?). Anyways they seem pretty flexible. I wouldn't just order a hat though! lol

I will try to get them to put up what average shipping fee is to Europe.

I kind of have a pet peve(spelling??) about things like this, I want to know exactly what the item is to totally cost before I put it on my card. I don't like surprises

Funny thing is I tested ordering a hat!! But didn't confirm when they wouldn't tell me upfront...will they cancle the order if I don't agree with the fee?

Brian,
I am not 100% sure. But I would think so as most companies don't want to get stuck with credit card chargebacks. I will try to get them to post some overseas shipping cost examples. That might help. In their defense it is hard to implement a solid overseas shipping calculator. Too many variables to deal with.

Jim - I just completed a shirt order - with custom embroidery - and the transaction flew by easily. I'll let you know how long the shipping / order fufillment takes.

Thinking about moving huh?

Gunnie,
Cool....I have asked them for a few more changes. I didn't like that the color for the name didin't appear to match the color of the logo. Which style did you use, block or script? I am asking them to kill that choice too. Block should look better with the logo and I would rather we all mostly match.

I asked them about posting a overseas shipping example chart. If any Canadian's order can you let me know if they handle the shipping charges ok for you guys?

Thanks,
Jim

I went with the Spruce color and gold Block lettering for "Gunnie". I though script would look weird with the nice logo - I chose the "Light" armorama.com logo.

Naturally I'll probably order another one - when the wife sees it - she'll want one too!

Gunnie,
Lol...on the wife note. I too will probably go with that color combo too. That is if they don't change the name color to the beige. Yours may get processed that way if they change it so don't be surprised if that happens.

I think once I clear it with the wife, that I may go with the denim shirt. Very nice, although I may also get a golf shirt too.

My wife already beat me to the punch and ordered one of the solid color hats. I just placed an order for a stone denim shirt (no name) and a spruce color golf shirt with "Staff - Jim" . No underscore for me.

I ordering processing was pretty good. It's on a secure server which is always a plus. As a tip when you are putting in and sending credit card info - if you don't see " https:// " as the lead element in the URL then proceed with caution. It means you aren't really dealing with Internet payment processing pros.

I noted they have added a link to checking UPS shipping outside the US. They provide the ZIP origin and an estimate of the weight. This will appear on the last screen BEFORE you commit to the order. So this should be all you guys overseas need really. If anyone thinks they get overcharged for shipping please let me know. - Thanks

Jim
