I know the site is changing and I believe it is for the better. I know change can be difficult.

I encourage you all to take a bit of time and really try to use the site and try to absorb all the information on the screens at any point. There is soooo much here and there really are easy ways to get to the information you're looking for if you stop and look.

Very wise words, and something to be considered...the forum (as is on most sites) is just one small area of the total Armorama experience, and with these new changes (and more on the horizon) the experience here is going to get better!

I'm getting used to it, and as Armorama's ninth registered member and only member with over 10,000 posts, I am the one most used to the old format.

I think if anyone has looked at the LP the most it's me!

:-) :-) :-)

Thanks for the words of encouragement Scott.

Just because somethings look this way today, doesn't mean they will look that way tomorrow.....

You have to rearrange the furniture to get the house in order. (don't forget those long lost dust bunnies, and missing parts as you go along!)

If you are married, you will understand moving the 8 foot, 900 pound couch alone, at least 30 times before it's where she finally wants it, for this week....... :-) :-)

um, im not used to the "forum" section looking as cluttered as it now does. Just looks like the topics are squeezed in the middle, that part, I dont I will get used to, looks like too much is going on, its too busy. But, it is what it is. As for the rest, I dont mind.

Well it doesn't look any more cluttered than my workbench and I manage to find my way around that!

Keep up the good work Jim....

Change is good in a site. Keeps it from being stagnant. Yes the forum site looks busy but it is still useable. My one complant is I usually check the recent issues on the forum section of the home page. If I was tired or busy I would click on the forum button so that all the armor would be in one section. I don't seem to be able to do that now so if I am in a hurry I will probably skip the site. Just my observation.

Eric,
Doing the sort function to sort by group was a nice feature... then I had a thought. If you want to see all the most recent topics in say "armor/afv", just click the forum name next to one of the armor topics. Viola!

!!!!!Hey armor heads

I'm building a dio composed from the Verlinden vignettes
Good morning Vietnam
Full metal jacket
Dear John
from Verlinden
and it's looking good so far!

I was wondering if it would look nice with a little vehicle in the background, a softskin, a helicopter?

I was wondering if you knew something I would enjoy building and that would look good in the background of those guys relaxing...

Any suggestions? !!!!!!

WIERD!!!!!

Nothing strange about that.........

It's an amendment to the original rules, and is locked and sticky to stay on top, the same as the original rules.

I have been holding my tongue for a few days pending further investigation but as I continue to play around Armorama, Modelgeek and Ships I am getting the hang of it. Unfortunately there has not been a lot of activity in Modelgeek and Ships but I think as time goes by it will gain.

It took a while getting used to the Latest Posts page where they were really only about 50% of the width of the page. With the ads on the left and the lastest posts of Modelgeek and Ships on the right it took some getting used to. I think it's my old age eyes rather than cosmetic of functionality of the new page but I would like to see the Latest Posts to be a little more promient or maybe larger font.

The goal is to get MG (ModelGeek) going for all non-military subjects so the civilian population and sci-fi people can get things going there.

As long as we don't change wives as often as Jim changes the looks of the site were all lickely to hit the 70 years and up.

Hard to adjust i must say, but it could be worse. Anyhow, would i stop comming because i get lost? no! worst comes i go back to homepage and try to find the stuff all over again lol
