Hi gang!
This is Trumpeters KV1 model 1941, OOB, my most enjoyable build so far
Went together with no problems. I textured some armor plates and painted the
beast wit Citadel acryls and Humbrol enamels. It was comouflaged after color
profile in book by Wydawnictwo Militaria :"Leningrad 1941"
I hope you'll like it!

Any and all comments are very welcome.

Cheers
Pedro

Really great work. I love painting and weathering you did on your beast. Eye cathing camo was a very good choice.

Hi Pedro,

I saw your kit earlier but didn't have time to comment.

Looks really good, the effect you have achieved in worn steel looks great, it looks grubby, and well used. Nice choice of camo scheme.

Are you leaving it unmarked? I wasn't sure from you post if these are progress pictures or you have a bit more to do? Thinking about the tracks - look great but a bit too clean.

Mighty looking beast though!!

Cheers

Thanks for the comments Jeroen and Alan.
Alan, I'm leaving it unmarked as I based this build mostly on the profile art and this shows
it without markings. I think you are right with the tracks, so i might add some dusty pastels
to it later. Other than this it's finished

Cheers

Pedro:

Thats a nice looking kv1 u got there. I especially like the unusual camoflauge scheme. Weathering looks great (the rust stains really add a great level of detail).

And now all u need is a shirt that says "Vote for Pedro". Sorry, couldnt help it (quote from Napolean Dynamite)

Very nice job,
I really like the weathering, looks good, and not overdone.
Good Luck in the DMOM.

The more I see these Trumpeter KV kits, the more tempted I am to pick one up, but with an overflowing stash, and a plastic storage tub of after market stuff to be used, I'll probably stick to my current plans of just building what I have in the future. (yes that includes some aircraft, and ships, and cars)

Although I do have to admit, I was really tempted to pick up a resin kit on sale today, I overcame it..... and bought groceries instead.

That's a good one Brian :-) I think I can make one of my figures wear such t-shirt

Dave I appreciate you like it, especially because not over weathering was one
of the goals for this build. Trumpeters KV's are sweet builds, so don't hasitate
to get yourself one if you have your stash depleted in the feauture

Hi Pedro,

Your KV1 looks fantastic....I love it ....especially the paint small chips.....it is something I have been tryinig with little success....

Your camo is also great....did you use masking to do it or free hand ?

Keep your model coming.....

Hi Mike, thanks for the kudos mate!

You should try fine dishwashing sponge for the little paintchips.
Just wetten a little piece of the sponge in paint and lightly
press it to the model. The camo was masked and then shot with airbrush.

Cheers

Stunning piece of work Pedro. Paintjob and weathering is just superb.
How did you achieve that wonderful dark metallic look to the roadwheels?

Thanks Jesper for the compliments!
The roadwheels were heavily drybrushed with GW's acrylic
color called BoltgunMetal over the base color of the wheels.

Happy modeling!

Generaly I don't believe in colour plates from Militaria books but this one looks so cool that I won't be expecting any photos to prove that it existed
Great painting and weathering, I love it.

Thanks Piotr, I'm glad you like it!
As for the color plate, I too didn't bothered if it's accurate or not.
Firstly because, as you said it's really cool, secondly, I had to
figure out the upper and left side anyway , regardles it was or
wasn't accurate, though some photo of the real vechicle would
be a big help

Cheers
Pedro
