Hello, my friends..
What a pleasant surprise this morning upon login to find another update on the sites looks and usages...love the new header, easier to navigate, things just get better daily...we just have to have patience, folks, and the whole spectrum will broaden in front of our eyes, and become an entirely new, bigger, and better, experience overall! Great work, Jim Starkweather, what a fantastic thing it must be to have your ideas unfold with such success! A personal thanks, kudo's, and a hearty hat's off to an ongoing job well done!!
~Mark

Another Log-on surprize...
I too like the new header. for some reason it just looks better...
Although I must admit the first thing I thought was "whats this... something looks cleaner... then I realized the ad's were moved to the right... to me that just looks better...
Keep up the good work.............

I too like this new look. It seems to have made the site much faster to load up as well.

I think it looks good.
Just one question. Why do I see where I’m at twice? Both in the green strip and then right below it in the brown one.
I haven’t received any PMs yet. Did it get cut? If so I’ll really miss that.

Users with the newest version of IE 6 are getting a warning pop-up regarding active X controls. I looked into another way to broadcast the sound on the page but browsers are making it very difficult (for security reasons) to do this without using flash.
So for now... no sounds.
Thanks for the kind words about the update. Still not completely done yet... but about 90% there.

Geez!
Jim did some serious tweeking of the site last night!(5/22/06)
Things are shaping up far beyond what I ever imagined...isn't it exciting to watch this unfold before your very eyes!? Way to go, Captain! Everything is fitting perfectly...

Jim: I use Mozilla Firefox and it works great.
I didn't like the first round of changes, but it looks great now. Even if the color sceme reminds me of my Great Aunt's 1970's kitchen remodel (Avacado and forest green) ... I guess it's kind of comforting.

Hi all....
When the changes first started to materialise on screen last week my opinion was tainted a little as it was work in progress.
But now as the new look is nearing completion I must say I do like it a lot. The layout is now so clean and even elegant in its simplicity....designer talk.
Even the advacado colour scheme for home, has now settled down to my eyes somewhat.
AND having strolled over to the ships section I must say the colour scheme there is truly lovely. Its really fresh, like a brisk sea breeze on a sunny spring morning...oh I do get poetic sometimes. Salt in the blood somewhere.
Modelgeek is a little brash in comparison...therefore so far it is to me the least successful combination....unless you love bannana with caramel sauce....I cleaned that up for family viewing
Can't wait to see in what colours the Aircraft section turns out to be. Limestone, slates and Cobalts?
Overall I think its a great job done...
Cheers
Peter
