There will undoubtably be some bugs with this, but post counts are back. 2 things....

1. The post count for Armorama is going to be UPDATED. This means that any posts or topics that have been removed are going to get re-tabulated. We have (for example) pruned some forums like BST and the Junk Drawer of thousands of topics. My post count for Armorama went from 6000+ to under 5000.

2. The network post count will remain at ZERO until you make a post or start a topic. Once you do that it should make the changes above and record the total number of posts in the database.

Now to match up the ranks....

Doh...and of course I am forgetting that some forums are not asssociated with Armorama anymore (ships, general modeling, etc) so those posts do not count toward your "site posts" # for Armorama.

Also this # will totally not add up if you then go to ModelGeek or ModelShipwrights thinking that their site post number will add up to the difference. I will have to come up with a FINAL routine once all the forums are moved that will again go through and reset all the totals to their correct sites.

Thanks,
Jim

Look at it this way, it's a rare accomplishment to get to the rank of five stars twice. :-)

Kinda nice to see the post count back. It's a hellauva job you are doing Sir. Yep, hellauva job. Overall, liking the look of everything. Coloring is nice (that said, I am colorblind). :-) Good to see the ads on the right, et cetera, et cetera. Thanks big boss dude! Hmmmm, interesting: Network Posts and Site Posts.

When I first entered the site this morning my post count showed 10,094 and I quickly dropped to 9587 after my first post of the morning. Only lost roughly 500 posts (5%), but I rarely posted in the off-topic forums.

I'm glad the post count is back. Although not the 'be all, end all' I find it helps to gauge a poster, and your response back.

Cheers

I like the multi-post thing you have going. Out of curiosity, to which is our "rank" linked to: the network posts or the site posts.

Keep up the hard work.

Jeff

PS: I also like the "New Topic" bulletin for the newest topics.

Currently it is incorrectly using the Armorama site totals (thus my demotion to 4 star). Gunnie for example is still a 5 star, but if he were to shut off ranks and reactivate (or have a promotion) his woud go back down to 4 star as well. So... I have some things to fix.

Ultimately the rank will be based on the top number (Net Posts).

And no we aren't going to be doing different ranks/totals for each site.

Cheers.

Maybe I'm a little dense (umm, no maybe's about it sometimes!), but what is the difference in a network post and a site post?
