This is a tamiya Panther pretty much out of box. It had been stored for a while before completion and the ring around the commanders cupola was damaged, so I replaced it with a flattened wire ring. The pics are with a digital camera and the model is a bit lighter in reality... The pics also look pretty flattened
This was my first model after at least 6 years #:-) and I tried a number of new techniques. I still have to add the tow cables, as those were also damaged I am scratchbuilding a couple from wire.
On Edit: I don't know why we can't see the pics...so the page is located here

On Edit 2: Uploaded the pics to the MSN site

I can't seem to get it to work either. May I suggest using the Armorama MSN site to host the pics. From what I can see of the Panther from 3 SS Panzer Division "Totenkopf" (Deaths Head), I like. I must snub you for the lack of PE, sorry, I am a PE snob.
I like the ambush camo scheme and the subtle weathering effects although I would like to see more. Could you take some more detailed pictures?
Excellent,
Andrew

Very nice work. Did you use an airbrush or hand paint?

Have some more pics with detail
There are a few more pics in the folder at
http://groups.msn.com/armorama/totenkophkitty.msnw?Page=Last
I hand brushed with acryllics. I have an airbrush but haven't used it much. I feel more in control with a brush... Guess I just need more practice.

Yep. Painted the base on, then the basic camo pattern with sightly thinned acryllics, so it would look faded in aeras, then added the splotches. all by hand.

Sel,
You have done a real dirty Panther and it looks like being used on the battle field for a long time. Nice cammo pattern with hand paint. Good job and keep up with it.

I agree with Delbert, it's nice to see models done straight OOTB. As a beginner, I am building this way till I improve my skills. Models like this one give me something to aim for.
Well done. The paint job looks good to me. :-)
