Here are a few final shots of my recent project.
I want to thank those who comment on the last set of photos. I did incorporate a few of the items, weathering etc. The one I did not do was change the Kubel color. I did do a bunch of research on the mater. And in the end I made the decision to leave it gray because the diorama was about the building first and everthing else second. (The lighting in the last one is really bad - sorry)

Hi Scott,
I really like how the whole layout turned out.Seeing so much 1/35th,it's a refreshing to see a 1/48 in the forums. Also a building that has not been blown sky high is also different.Your trees and the shrubs look great;we have shrubs almost like those ones at our house .The only thing i would like to see is maybe a couple of broken tiles on the roof, as if they have come loose and are just laying there .It was hard to see from the shots if you had placed flowers on your groundwork,a couple here and there maybe woudn't look too bad!?
All the best, Shay

Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments and encouragement.

Up next is VP's pirates and a scratch built portion of a ship and a 1/72 scale armor based diorama..... Stay tuned

The cobblestones/bricks are a newer 1/48th scale offering from Kancali - Great stuff!!

Beautiful work Scott. Great house and composition.
You could almost forget its a military dio as the scene is so tranquil.

Scott, nice work there. The only addition i would have like to seen(with the angle of the kubel) is the front wheels turned a tad. I love the buildings and vehicles. Its good to see 1/48th coming to life But Pirates next? ARRRRRhhhhhgggg what be this? cheers Kevin

Nicely done Scott, it is good to see another 1/48th model on display and I have to consider getting one of these superb building as it would look just as good with the new 1/48 VW when it hits the shelf. It is really good that the aftermarket manufacturers are getting into the swing of what is a great scale and I will say it is my opinion that I express about the scale.

Hello Scott, nice to see that you have some spare time to build yourself.

I like the building very much. The colour tones are well done and are blending very well together. I have some reservation about the height of the steps. On the pics they look out of scale compared to the Kübel.

Well done
Cheers

Scott, congrats on finishing this nice dio. Your building looks great. The foliage in front of it is a very nice touch. Any kind of vehicle in any kind of military colors would look in second plan here.
