Gday all
Does anyone know of a manufacturer of sewer lids/heavy covers in 1/35th? I imagine there could be a PE detail to go on resin lids for example... I really only need one, but I'm guessing they would come in a set if at all...
Thanks for any help
Cheers
Brad

Being senile, and brain dead on the one side, I can't recall which one, but either Blast or Plus Models has some in resin.

hehe yup...You're not wrong...
Found some from Calibre35, but knew from their footprint prices that they wouldn't be cheap either... Cripes. Think I might bury it under some rubble :-)

C'mon man, don't cop out! You can scratch build those babies!

Then show us all how you did it.

The best way I could think of is DIY photo etch... Get a photo image of the cast iron framework and then copy the design... (I think the older styles were pretty universal...) Not into scratchbuilding PE just yet though!
I'm toying around with dioramas at the moment, as I'm still sweating on a delivery mix up with my Formations update for my M4, which I ordered June 15... But I digress...

Honeycut I have the Plus model set.
What where you after - a number of them come in the pack and I can spare one
Did you want the sewer grate (square) or the man hole (round)?

You're a good man, Gunga din!
Catering to a downtrodden Mexican in his time of need
Thanks for the offer Andy. I'd be after the round one with the slots...
It's going in a diorama, and IMHO will add just the contrast needed with cobblestones everywhere!
I'll drop you a PM...
Thanks again all!
Cheers

If you have any spare roadwheels from, say a King Tiger or an Elefant, you could sand the face of it down a bit, add some holes to it etc. and you'll have a decent cover. I have roadwheels from an old 1/30 scale ISU 152 that I've used to make covers.

Wow those Hansa ones do look nice.
Keith, one your homepage who built that dio on the far right (two grenadiers and the 2 storey grey building) looks awesome.
Any more pictures of that one to share?
