It's really hard to find pictures of the Spartan MCT. I've seen a couple of pictures from the first Gulf War and that's about it.
How long was it in use by the British Army? Does anybody else still use it?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul
There may be a few other pictures in books, but it came and went from service pretty quickly. Some might still be about as OPFOR type vehicles (see my PM)

I dont know about it being that quick David, I trained on it as part of my CVR[T} training in the mid seventies and they were in operation during Desert Storm and some time after in various roles, it was just that they couldn't carry a whole section. Some were being used by RAF bomb disposal teams as well as support vehicles into the nineties.

Spartan is still in use... The CVR(T) chassis is a basis for many vehicles under different names.
Spartan, Stormer, Sultan, Samaritan, Striker, Samson...
I'll see if I can get you some pics.

Paul,
The MCT spartan went out of service after the Gulf war (1991). Some soldiered on at BATUS as opfor vehicles, Think they called them Sturgeons.
Pictures are very hard to come across,
Heres one of the 2nd Queens taken at sennelager in 1990

Thanks for the info all. I suppose the Gulf War would be the easiest period to model the MCT in action but I've got a couple of reference with what I think are BAOR vehicles plus the picture above from Sennelager.
I'll dig around for 'Sturgeon' pics.
