For those of you whom think that I am not able to do an Allied vehicle, this one is for you, and I dedicate to my good friend WeWillHold, because of his constant nagging, I finally give in.

This is the AFV M10 build OOTB, all in all a nice build, and I think I screwed up somewhat in weathering, now I realized why I do German Tanks, because I suck in OD stuff....

Now laugh away....

Dear Dave,
You see ? you survived building an allied vehicle ! But this is probably just a short-term love affair with the allied : isn't that a Hetzer standing in the background ? :-)
Nice work,
Da Wolf

Looks good for your unfamiliarity with OD.

Dave,

I don't know why you are knocking yourself. It looks good to me. Now all you need to do is breakdown and build an actual Sherman someday. That way you can set it up next to your S33 and feel sorry for all of those poor men who had to fight Tigers and Panthers in Shermans. :-)

Dave (aka "My Hero" SS-74)

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that you are "DA MAN", and the all time best number 2 Pig in the Sty!

Really good looking M10 Dave. I really like the nose on picture. The drybrushing looks great, (I like the paint work on the gun tube), good tight fit,---> your usual outstanding job!

ps: My only comment would be to place the M10 in a dio, perhaps knocking out one of your Tiger 1's????? (just kidding Dave) Great job!

pps: By the way, the Academy Tiger 1 has just arrived---> now I build one dedicated to you!

Thank you guys for all the encouraging words. The pic did a lot of good to the actual model....

Da Wolf aka General., yes I survived, it was a hard-fought battle.....

Adam, this allied thing is really getting to me, maybe I shall do something Russian next....

And WWH, would you feel a bit cheated that if I tell you that no dry brush done on this model, the reason being, I don't know HOW..... #:-)

Anyway, thank you for all the kind words.

Dave:

Wow, do I feel like a goof!

I thought you had dry brushed "steel" on edges and high spots showing wear through the od. Sorry pal!

But, my comments are sincere, the M10 looks great. Thanks for the pics.

I really like the addition of the additional armor..... Now what would happen if you did a German Ardennes Panther conversion to LOOK like an M-10? Would that considered allied?

You dirty dawg....posted this while I was asleep just to slip it past the guess-stop-oh? I failed! We are fully aware of your treachery and as you sleep, Your FAMO will drag you outside where your Hornisse's await to pummel you!
All seriousness aside....it is lovely! My M10 doesn't have the turret armored covers....where did you procure them? What color did you use for your dust coat? Are those the band tracks supplied in the kit? Where are my car keys? Has anyone seen my car keys? Do you have any car keys?

I can't believe that you won't consider doing an M13/40 but you will do an M-10.
I will never understand your twisted, twisted mind.
Looks good though, maybe you will join the pseudo M3 "Honey" group build?
Maybe not but it was worth a try.
Nice work,
Andrew

Davidus,

Sorry for the late to post my comment because I am the first one to see your secret project.
One word for it: excellent! I like the paint job too. That's why I am planning to get one M10.

Hi Dave sorry for the late post here ..(I was away at a model show yesterday!! Yipee!! Cost me a bundle but was fun) Looking good for your first Allied kit ...One question ...Are you sure about the extinguisher on the outside of the vehicle like that ??? Could it be more like inside the vehicle beside the driver ??? I have never seen this before ...And guys that roof was a field conversion done by one battion(or division) only (I can't remember which one but I do know they didn't put the right decals in the box) Strange move by AFV Club. #:-)
