Again, Nice and cleanly built and paint Wespe.
I like it, and cannot wait to see it finished.

SteveStug,
Hey, I am planning the exact color pattern as you did on the Wespe.
Nice paint! What color did you use? Tamiya German Gray and Dark Green?

looking good there.. can't wait to see it with the track and wheels on. I like the color choice 2.. just plain grey leaves something to be desired.

Well,well.....here it is! A wonderful kit with a sweet paint job! All of this in Japan. We don't really know if this is truely Stugs greatest work and will withhold any further coments till we are sure of steve's intent. Steve has never done anything to disgrace his position on the Cabinet of the Posterior so we conclude that a conclusion would be unconclusive in this conclusive mater.

I have also built this kit but I found that the dark green and grey were difficult to get right. Mind you, this was in my early modelling days. I like what you have done with it.
Now where is the PE???
Keep up the good work,
Andrew

The finished Wespe. I know I'm Quick, but this is the a breather kit to relieve the stress of a disaster. Andrew i only use PE for grills and groos inaccuracies with kits, this one is nice OOTB. Here it is.................................
Now if anyone could recommend a better digital camera it would be appreciated. the Kodak digi sucks. i want a better focus for my tanks. stug

SteveStug--The Wespe looks good, but I see one problem. The tracks are going in different directions. I'm not saying that that couldn't have happened in real life, but I highly doubt that was a desired arrangement. :-) From all pictures that I have seen of Wespe's and other vehicles on the Panzer II chassis the tracks should both be in the position of the ones on the left (when looking at the vehicle from the rear).
About digital cameras: I'm sure that everyone here will have a different opinion, but I'll weigh in with mine. I have the Olympus Camedia 3040C. It was recommended to me by Jim Hensley who uses his to take pictures for Military Miniatures in Review. I guess I figured that if pictures taken with that camera are good enough for a magazine then they are good enough for me. The camera is easy to use and when you set it on macro it takes great close-up pictures. For some examples of photos that I have taken with mine just click on the link in my "signature" called "Adam's Attic".

Hey stug! This is only my opinion.............
i think the the upper hull/housing needs some weathering or filters to make this vehicle come to life! The lower half of the kit is nicely weathered and then the upperpart is a bit too clean. Some scratch marks, some streaks or even some detail would add a new dimension to the finish. A filter or some dust sprayed over might bring down the sheen slightly! Maybe its just that i like ém dirty! Otherwise its looks cool! would love to see a picture of the interior. I have this kit waiting to build as well, and am interested in how the green/grey camo will look as that is what is on the boxart!

thanks again guys, unfortunately for most the future base for this wespe is going to be a cobble stone street in Paris, where the dust is kept to a minimum for weathering, and i think i'll add a little snow as well, to go with the cold weather gear the figs are wearing!!! STug
