Hi Scott, just saw that and checked it out. It led me to exactly what I was looking for. Pretty cool.

Thanks Scott. This has been a project in the works for about 2 months now. The search will open a framed window which allows navigation within the GM site in addition to an easy click to return to the KitMaker homepage. Also if you are on a Reviews page the item id or manufacturer will automatically populate into the search field.

I would like to thank Great Models for becoming our Search Bar sponsor. They will actually know exactly how many sales are being generated from this search bar (in addition to their ad on the right), so don't be shy... buy!

Also if it looks a bit funky at present you may have an older style-sheet cached in your browser. Hit CTRL + F5 on your keyboard.

Cheers,
Jim

Sweet - and easy to use!

P.S. A question: When I used the Search Bar, I got to the site and able to navigate easily. I selected a couple of items for purchase. The screen went blank each time. When I tried to look at the Shopping Cart - it too was empty. The only time I could "order" was actually after logging in to the site. The login process appeared to take me back around to the homepage and I had to start all over again in selecting items to buy.

I was wondering if the hit counter still recorded as the customer navigating to it from Armorama?

Thanks Jim... I think... This feature will only inflict more casualities to my allready very battle damaged credit cards... :-)

Great idea. Thanks to both GM and Jim. I would have never known about it unless I had stumbled upon this thread though, so I have a couple of suggestions:

1. Announce it on the homepage so that more people are aware of it being there.
2. Change the color of the bar to make it stand out. Maybe make it a little larger too.
3. Instead of "Search", call it "Great Models Search" to clearly mark it.

Now if you could just add one for Lucky Models and Squadron, I'd never have to go anywhere else!

Thanks again.

Cary,
Thanks for the feedback. It does need some tweaking for sure. Maybe silver metalic in color?

Cheers,
Jim

Most of the time it shows up in the silver metallic color on my comp. Sometimes I see yellow/gold printing which is very easy to read, sometimes it loads with black print that I cant even see with the background. It is great right now.

Hi all,
Great Models is a great place to get stuff from. Good prices, good shipping policy(you can keep track of your order) and I've been using them for about 3 years.

Chris- as cheap as they come
