I am really interested in building this behemoth. I couldn't find much by searching, nor any pics on the web of a completed Panzerhaubitze 2000 model. It also says there is an optional aluminum barrel, but I can not determine which kits have it and which don't. Anyone know anything about this sucka?

Saw that vehicle on the Military Channel last night. Pretty cool!

Yea I saw that too. I already downloaded some uber high res pics of it. I like how it can dispense a smoke round, then drop 5 shots in the same spot within a second. A little risky for the loader though

I want to see some assembled kits

I have one in my stash, but have not started it yet. It comes with an aluminum barrel and the kit looks overall good.

I have the kit in my stash as well. and have started on it. It builds pretty well. No glaring problems that I know about so far. Its definitely a monster...

Built it using the metal barrel. No major fit problems. My only concern was that the plastic was inconsistent. A little soft here, a little hard there. Some have said there are accuracy issues. Maybe, but it looks like a PZH 2000 to me. I am happy with it. Sorry, no pictures as my camera is now my wife's and I might see it in the next century!!

I was reading a Tiger 1 site and apparently there are some accuracy issues with the acutal tank they are restoring :-) If there are accuracy issues(as I say with all the nit-picks) where is the model that is 100% perfectly accurate, perfectly built and absolutely flawlessly painted and assembled model?

I just ordered one from the LHS and can't wait to take a peek at that bad boy. Even the little 1/72 one in the link above still looks mean Awesome links guys, thanks!

I did this some time ago, but I actually emailed KMW and did received a promotional packet and small explanation of the capabilities of that awesome gun. They have a very good site for German equipment.

I tried to find the address, but i must have lost it. If you google PzH2000, you should be able to link to their site.

Hope this helps

The Concord photo book "Rolling Steel" has a section on the German vehicle. It is an all-color photo book on all the NATO self-propelled guns.

Well I picked it up today. Of course if DML used this size box it would have 3000 pieces The model is simplified and of course much more crude then the DML AFV's, but will build up nice. The modern camo will steal the show over most of the model's simpler details anyway.

It does however have the largest aluminum 1/35 barrel we may ever see. Even next to mighty Tiger, my Crocodile Dundee voice kicks in, "that's not a barrel.............."
