Very nice looking Mutt RedLeg lots of detail. The bolts really make the armor stand out. What do the graphics stand for just curious.

Very cool Red Leg. Coincidently, I just picked up the UH-1C where you got your markings from today.

Pfc- reading from the instrucions, the markings are from "Surfer Girl", Sharks Gun Platoon, 174th AHC, 1st Aviation Brigade, II Corps, Vietnam, 1971.

Looks pretty good. I'd go for a more dark gray on the tires, they look OD in the pictures. Also, did you paint the reflectors on the rear quarter panels?
If you can get hold of one, replace the M-60 with a casting from DML/Dragon. Their flash suppressor is much more reallistic an the sight is not the solid pice this one is. I'm guessing the kit is the more recenmt Academy release. Did the M-60 come with that? If so, I'm surprised they didn't update it with the rest of the kit.

Looks pretty good. A couple things on the M151A1 though. The line down the middle of the windshield is the frame. It was a split windshield and should be painted black as well. Same with the wiper parts on the windshield. Also, Academy got the rear wheel openings wrong. The rear part should be a straignt line from the upper portion to the bottom, no step at the bottom. See below.

Other than those minor corrections, it looks good. The Surfer Girl decal looks good on it. Good job.

Not bad for a little MUTT. You should try and build one of the actual jeeps. I can help you with the info. There were a lot of gun jeeps that did not have any graphics on them. And a lot of them had hand painted logos on them. I am trying to scan some more photos that I have of other Jeeps. As soon as I can find the time I will post them. But I do like you first MUTT. As Gino stated the rear fenders need to be altered but heck it doesn't take away of a very nice build.

Nice build! One comment. Is that an ammo can mounted on the right hand side of the M60? I have never seen an M60 with ammo feed from the right.

Looks like you glued the mount itself facing backwards and adjusted the gun/ammo can to fit.

The armor that we used on our jeeps in the 8th Transportation Group, out of Qui Nhon, had different armor patterns than the one you used. I drew up what we had:

Hmmm, guess that did not work. I'll try again, wish there was a preview here so you could see if you did it right, before embarassing yourself! :-)

You just need to take out all between the brackets and replace it with the url to your photo.

Looks good. Nice referance.

Interesting little vehicle.
Not perfect, but certainly interesting, and a clean build.
