It will be interesting to see how well it sells compaired to their latest german releases.

I would expect it to be their best selling model ever, judging from some posts here lately :-)

Thanks for the news!! I been waiting for this longer than I've been alive!
:-) Looks fantastic!

By the way, is this the same spec Half Track used in the film Kellys Hereos?

Wow, it's Christmas in September! Let's just hope this is the beginning of lots of future Halftrack versions, similar to what DML has done with the Sdkfz 251 family of vehicles.

I was in the running to buy a couple of the Tamiya kits about 2 weeks ago on E-bay but I got beat out at the last minute.

Heh heh....I hope they enjoy them.

Funny how things go sometimes. :-)

Typical .... I have almost everything I need to build a nice M3 Halftrack .. except for TWSs new drive wheels, and this is announced. I even went as far as buying both the M21 and the original, to swap sides.
Anybody want to buy an unbuilt and accurate M3 .... only $200 and its yours :-) :-) :-)

Well this feels almost as good as the time when I got in the middle of all the female cheerleaders at VMI. All that jumping up and down and pom pom shaking. Enjoy guys, I know you've been waiting for this for a long time.

About time!!!!!!!! Who says prayer doesn't work????

Now I can add at least 3 or 4 more kits to my stash (and SWMBO gets another trip to the scrapbook store) All that's left now is to go to Greatmodels and preorder a bunch.

Aaah, finally...

Who's going to be the first kid on the block to do a captured M2 in German markings...? :-) :-) :-) :-)

Looking forward to the rest of the US halftrack family too.

Now, if only Dragon would produce some decent softskin vehicles...

You think my wife will put up with me buying one more kit before winter??? Not if she realizes how many I have already! However, I must have this halftrack..

WOOO-HOO! AWESOME News!

And who knows... Maybe AFV Club will rush to come out with their own version first and will get into another halftrack kit war with Dragon, producing oodles and oodles of M-2/M-3 variants!!!

Either way, we WIN!

Much Aloha,

Johnny B.

Aha, the Holy Grail of allied AFV modelling!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the British didn't use this variant did they?

EDIT: Oh, and do you think we'll see a set of infantry "riders" to go with it?

Sorry Neil but Brit/C'wealth tended to use mainly the M5 and M9(?) variants. I'm sure they will eventually come. My guess for the other secret release is an M4A1 which is the 81mm Mortar in an M2 firing to the rear.
This has been the best year I can ever remember as an Allied Modeller (since 72). Never have I seen such a broad range of wanted subjects:
M4A1 76, M4A2 (Welded), M4A2 (Cast hoods), Composite retool, Char B, Comet, M3, Centurian and now a HT.
Cheers

Don't forget: AFV Club M40 GMC, DML M4A3E8 Thunderbolt, pictures of the Tasca Firefly VC and all the Tamiya 1/48 jewels!

If I were just to build the items on this list, I can stay away from Dunkelgelb for several years!
