Yes Henri I got your last batch of pics...I can see myself very busy after my abrams kits. Thanks a Million...I already replied to you then.

Michael, I'm looking forward to your pics...thanks for the info-now I'll include the training version ammo can to the CSAMM kit..

My kits should be ready for purchase by december...better late than never.

Before I send them for production,I will post photos of the masters on my original post and I will include a poll on my website so the community can decide on the quantity and combination...

in the meanwhile thank you for your patience and understanding...and please don't get rid of your older Abrams kits..as there's quite a few variant items a coming.

Well I'm sitting with my TM in my lap looking at preping the loaders station and it appears the unit is called the loader's skate mount. The upper part is the cradle and the lower removable bin is the "ejected link case". Any further nomenclature would have to come out of the parts manual. But that's what the TM calls them. TM 9-2350-255-10-1W/C6.

Henri & Mike, I called up my internet service provider, they said that there's been a que at hotmail, so my emails did go out to you..and you guys should recieve them soon.

I hope to keep this post alive....and I'll post photos once I'm done with the M240 mount..and TAGS..and start on the commander's .50cal and CSAMM...

For those following my AM kit posts.. my original CSAMM & TAGS has been scraped , working on much more refined ones now..
I've also completed 2 make-shift gunshields seen on the M1..more on those later.

From the pics your original ones were good, looking forward to seeing the new ones. December's OK; I'd rather have them later and better than earlier and not so good.

It's a machine gun mounted in the turret of a tank on the same trunion axis as the main gun. Hence co-axial. They would move with the main gun and are used to take out soft targets that the main gun is not suitable to deal with. Like the main gun they would be operated by the turret gunner.

Yes Simon,
I had recieved some really essential photos (from one of our many very helpful armorama members), thus it became quite clear about accuracy..and thus photoetch may not be such a good idea after all-since in fact the accuracy would be compromised.
I try now to bring the CSAMM,TAGS and similar kits all out in resin as I think certain details would more realistic. The difficulty is the thinness of the metal sheets and their angles which makes up the gunshield.

Photoetch always looks good as a kit. But when it comes down to it- once it's painted and how real it looks..is all that counts.
Another problem was the design of the clear shields and metal sheets which house them.

I will do my best to make them as easy to assemble, with as little parts as possible.

Thank you for your interest.

Hi All,
In Michael Perry's (Fatman's) pic of the two crewmen cleaning the MG's.
Is there a sheet of glass or perspex shown on edge at the forward end of the M2's reciever? There's a green line that you see when viewing glass on edge running vertically from behind the spare running wheel mounted on the turret up past the .50 cal's ammo box.

Its not glass, looks to be a rod of some sort, I can't really tell. The Green is too pail to be glass, and with it being that far to the front of the M2, it really wouldn't provide too much in the way of protection. Also, that is an M1A1, and the TC can have is hatch in the "open protected" postion and fire the .50 from inside the tank remotely. On the M1A2's they have what we call the "John Wayne" mount, the only way that you can fire that .50 is to be standing outside the hatch exposed to enemy fire... No sir, I don't like it....
