AHHHRGH! My links aren't live on the page.
Would anybody be able to tell me how to make 'em live?
Thanks
Dus
Hit the URL button above the smileys and paste your chosen URL over the bit which says 'Put URL here', making sure you don't overwrite the square backets.

I've just been reading my New Vanguard book on the Long Range Desert Group and it mentioned both the SAS and LRDG had Willys jeeps. I thought of doing an LRDG jeep, but the book provided no pictures and little information on them. Does anyone have anything more? Also, were the configurations of weapons, etc. basically custoimized? Thanks.
Hi Tom, I've got a link to a great LRDG site under 'visit my selected link'.
The LRDG jeeps were generally more lightly armed than the SAS versions, usually single or twin Vickers K guns mounted on the passenger's side. The illustration of a Guards Patrol jeep in the NV book is a good one, and I intend complementing my Chevy asap. More than likely I'll modify one of the new Tamiya jeeps.
One more thing: the tyres used on LRDG jeeps were sometimes of British origin with a totally different tread pattern to those more often seen on jeeps - have a close look at the photos on pages 38 and 46 of the NV publication.

Thanks for all the help!
As it happens, I decided to go with my first idea of an SAS jeep being "captured" by an LRDG Chevrolet truck crew. More fun that way. The truck would be plain yellow and the jeep in an elaborate camouflage pattern. Now I need to know more about markings.
