I just switched from dial up to a whiz bang fast wireless system a week ago. Everything loads super fast now. When I was on dial up I almost did not dare to try to look at many pics. Now everything is cool.

don't seem to have any big problems loading with DSL. There is a momentary screen where all I see is the top advert....then the remainder of the page fills in shortly thereafter. Generally 5 to 12 seconds.
Of course anything beats the old dialup I used to have! I can actually play videos now and steam music!! WooHoo!

Jim,
I did vote, but I have to clarify something. . .I'm on a super fast broadband at the office, and there are times when the pages load faster than the speed of light, and sometimes I could walk a country mile before the load process is complete. . .on my home connection with verizon cable, the service is very consistent, loading at normal speed.

Voting done. System seems normal, both at home on cable modem (2meg) and on the 2 meg pipe at work, however i have had a couple of occasions in the last 2 weeks where it has not been possible to get to the lastest forum posts.

The past few weeks have been relatively normal with only small delays seeming to pop up in the last week or so.
Broadband access at home, DS3 pipe at work (contending with everything else going across it of course), home seems to be slightly slower than work but both places have seen some slow down in initial load recently. Nothing major though.

Cable modem here at home...generally pretty fast/normal...occasionally it'll get quite slow for cable, but that is very rare and only for a minute or two, then suddenly speed back up to fast/normal.

Voted for fast. As I have 10Mbit connection at home and 54(!)Mbit wireless at the university I can't complain. Loading time is faster than I can read... (And I can sit wherever I wan't and check Armorama at school as it's wlan :-) )

Am probably on the slowest broadband of 256kbps but the site is loading as per normal. Dont notice anything slow about it and besides its hard to tell if its my connection or not.

Jim,
The site loads very quick for me. This includes the text as well as all of the images. There have been no problems at all over the past few weeks. No complaints here.

Jim,
I'm cable at home and the site has loaded normally. I can't say if there have been times when it was faster or slower than "nomal" in the last few weeks. So, all seems just fine.

Jim,
My home has Time Warner cable and I mostly view this on wifi from my laptop. Having said that, the site loads up fine for me either wifi or on my hardwired computer.
With all that goes on here, the amount of links, photos, forums, etc., I think it operates extremely well!
Thank you,
Gary

Well, it seems slow loading and I'm on high broadband.

I have 10mb broadband at home and it usually goes OK considering the amount of images. Sometimes, if its bit slow (or sticks), I usually hit refresh, then it goes normally.
Dont know what we have at work but its too slow to bother with.

Jim,
Here's an update: as of this post, the site is loading EXCEPTIONALLY quick! All the forums I've visited and the topics within the forums. According to the tally at the bottom, there have been 159 members online in the last 30 minutes. Not sure what the tally was earlier when I posted...
HTH,
Mike

Mike,
Hi. Yes we have a new dedicated server that is solely running our ads right now. The old virtual dedicated machine was starting to lag a lot and was delaying the page being drawn (where you just got the top banner and search then all black for a while).
Now if I can just get the adserver software so that people can login again! argggg....
Cheers,
Jim
