Hello people, i just got myself a new kit or toy i shall call it. .
Thought of sharing with you guys. I'm not too sure though if this belongs to the reviews but here goes?

I love the boxart.

given 2 sets of tracks, rubber or semi-individual tracks.

wheels and suspension.

the lower half of the tank and its sides.

the hull.

the turret, cable and the clear headlights.

lastly the german marking to be 'tattooed' on the russian tank.

same pattern as the russian kv's and overall, its a nice kit waiting to be built. cant wait to go full force on it.

I saw several pictures of this tank in the Schiffer "Captured tanks under the German flag" book.
I've always been tempted to kitbash an old Tamiya or Eastern Express KV-1 into this beast.
Thank You Trumpeter!
The kit hasn't arrived in Canada yet, but I hear it's going to be soon.
If it's as good as their other KV's, you should enjoy putting it together!!
Enjoy!!!

I need to get me one of these beasts. It looks much meaner than the Russian KV-1.

Keep us posted with build pics.

Hey Gaston,
Is that the Pz.Kfw KV-2 754(r) your talking about?
Haven't seen it here in Canada yet either.

The Trumpeter Pz.Kpfm KV-1 756 (r) is a pretty good kit, but has a few gaps and mold seam clean ups that are tedious to do. By the time I had cleaned up all the mold seams on the suspension arm, it looked like I had been in a snow storm! The key word for the upper hull panels is DRY FIT, DRY FIT, DRY FIT!!!!

There is a lot of minor flash around core pin holes. No big deal, just a pain to clean up.

Helpful Hint: DO NOT bypass step #1! Also, sand the mating surfaces of B1, B2 and the hull tub.

I've got the kit about 80% assembled and all the problems (?) I have encountered have been minor, it really is an enjoyable, straight forward build.

I did have to add a piece of Evergreen strip plastic to the end of part no. Q 5 and replace a couple weld beads.

Next will be the PzKpfm KV-2 754(r) kit.

Nice choice!
You'll definitely enjoy building this kit!
i tried the Russian KV-1 and the result was amazing!
Even the link and length tracks are easy to assembly!

so far i have no problems with the lower hull..hopefully the upper hull wont be that bad:-X. thanks for the heads up yagdpanzer, will keep a look out for the upper parts.
and yes, i have to agree, it looks mean with the german markings. cant wait for it to be done.

It seems to me that I read somewhere about a KV-2 used by the Germans during the last few weeks of WWII.
It was at one of the testing grounds and was used to bolster the local defense units.
Anyone have any info on this?

Thanks David,
I've got the Schiffer book on captured tanks and seen that picture of the Essen KV-2.
Are you aware of any other photos or information on it's use?
I've googled but had no luck.

p.s. Happy Halloween everyone from Canada!!!!

Sadly I've not seen any other photos of the Essen KV-2, which I first saw in the Osprey Vanguard on Soviet heavy tanks, searching the net didn't find any either.
