Howdy all,
2 Questions really, 1) has anybody built the Verlinden Reactive Armor set for the Bradley? How was the casting on the pieces? 2) Does anybody know where I could go on the web to see pics of them being used in Iraq?
Thanks
Randy

I might be able to help with the pictures. I'm currently at Camp Rustamiyah near Baghdad and there happens to be quite a few Bradleys about a hundred yards from where I'm sitting. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to go take the pictures because it's night here, but give me a day or two to take and post the pictures and I'll hook you up.

Joe,
I'd be interested in some photos too, if you get a chance. I've got the Blast set, from everything I've heard about, it is better than the Verlinden one. If you could get some photos from the top, that would be great, and the hinge area behind the driver's hatch, where the new square tubular support is mounted.
Cheers,
Jim

The Verlinden set is incomplete. It leaves off the forward and rear end pieces of armor. They have also deleted the mounting brackets for the front slope and side armor. Pete "Epi" Bacerra did a review of the Verlinden set in the Reviews section here at Armorama.
Blast has corrected all the deficiencies of Verlinden's set and is cheaper as well. Go with the Blast set.
There are a bunch of pics of Bradley ERA and its mounting brackets etc. on Prime Portal.

I just looked on www.greatmodels.com and checked out the ERA for the bradley. while I will say I think the Blast set does appear to be more complete, it is WAY more expensive then the verlinden set. The Verlinden set is 26 bucks there vs. 65 for the Blast set. I dont know about you guys, but 65 bucks seems a bit expensive for my blood. especially for just the ERA. If it were more complete and had some accessories or say the new running gear included, then I could say the price is justified. But 65 for a simple resin update set sounds expensive to me. thats just my .02 though.

You're lookig in the wrong place. The ERA is only $28 plus shipping directly from Blast.

Gino, do you have Blasts web site? I looked a couple of times, but could never find a link to it. I like their work, but every place I normally buy from is expensive for Blast stuff. ONE figure is usually like 18 bucks. Thanks in advance.
