Photos of these have been posted on Track 48

New Tamiya

Looks like the GAZ has the correct WW2 radiator grill this time.

EDIT: Of course I really mean GAZ-67B......

Morning David,

Too small for me but neat looking little kits.

Cheers

Very cool! I'm finding myself picking up more and more 1/48 kits these days and these look like they'll be on the list.

Both look cool. My bank manager will be asking questions.

Anyone know what will be needed to convert the GAZ to one used in the Korean War? Or would WW2 era vehocles still be in use. I'm wanting to do a dio with Tamiya Mig-15bis with its tail open. Thought this would fit in nicely.

AFAIK the difference is the radiator grill, on post-war GAZs the grill was stamped rather than the welded rod grill used on WW2-era vehicles. The Tamiya 1/35 version has the later grill.

Agree. But my issue is that the brick/mortar LHS's are asking more for these Tamiya 1/48th kits as online retailers are charging for Dragon's current uber kits. In fact, almost as much as what I paid for *both* Skybow Tigers off the 'net.

They're nice, and if they were really a lot cheaper than 1/35th, I might be compelled to switch.
