One additional research item to note for buyers of the turret. The armored ventilator atop the turret roof appeared in later M3 Lees and M3 sub variants (M3A3, M3A5). Tankers realized how bad the fumes were inside so three ventilators were installed -- one atop the turret, one near the right side roof hatch and one above the driver.
