Gday Jacob
Could you supply any further information regarding the type/texture etc that you require? This should narrow down the options you have somewhat...
Cheers

Maybe some thin felt??? Or perhaps some other thin cloth with texture to it. This is an interesting question I dont recall ever seeing presented before.

Try this link

Also, I do recal coming across a diaroma accessories site last year who sold 1/35 scale persian rugs. I lost the link when a drive crashed but search around, they had tons of cool stuff if you can find them. Maybe a shopping search on miniature rugs?
Model on,

Have to say OIF doesn't make me think carpeting. When I think carpeting I think wall to wall. Rugs, sure I can see that, not carpet though.

Thanks guys.
What I’m thinking of would be solid colored carpeting covering the entire room.
I’ve got a few dios ideas were I could add carpeting so I’m hoping to find something thats not to expensive.
This dio will be in an upper level of an apartment building or similar place. Would carpeting work or should I go for something else? And if so what?

May I suggest Microsuede? It's very soft, relatively inexpensive and can be obtained from most fabric supply stores. Since the pile on a carpet would be virtually invisible in 1/35 it may do the trick. Not sure what colours are available, but if you bought some in white you could airbrush it any colour.

they make tons of carpet accessories for car models. the most common is powdered that is spread over glue and is very effective. However I can not imagine wall-to-wall in Iraq. Tile with rugs would probably be the way to go.

A TRICK AND COMPLETLY FREE WAY I'VE USED QUITE OFTEN.
1/35 scale carpet is virtually paper thin as paper, therefore I use photos from carpet flyers. Most stores will show a full photo of their line of carpets.
Simply cut them out, white glue them wree you want them and then spray with dulcote.
Instant carpet.
