Accurate Armour in Scotland do some excellent 1/35 scale resin kits of the WOLF in several versions.
They do 2 GS versions and a TUM with Weapons Mount Installation Kit (WMIK), fitted with GPMG and a 50cal, This is the version you see in being used Afghanistan by the Marines at the mo.
I dont know if it has been released yet, i havnt had a look on their website for a while but when last i checked their was also plans to bring out another WMIK with either a MILAN or TOW launcher in place of the 50cal.
These kits all retail at about £60 but they are quality and well worth it.
The website is www.accurate-armour.com.

They are a mail order company anyway.
Ive seen one or two kits pop up on ebay from time to time but they dont go for much cheaper than if you ordered them from accurate armour directly.

I'm curious, which era does the Italeri Desert Rats SAS Combat Car (#258) belong to?

The Accurate Armour Land Rover is a good kit, but not easy to built. The instructions leave much to be desired, and although the fit of the parts is generally good, some parts need a bit of 'tweaking'... And if you go for one, ditch the rifles, as they are not very nice. And shorten the suspension springs, rather than trying to fit them under pressure, I don't know what AA's idea there was, but it ain't working.
This is the Wolf with WMIK that I just finished.
Cheers

Rob, I think the SAS Land Rover (the Pink Panther) was a sixties vehicle.

The two don't have very much in common, they're based on very different models of Land Rover made about 30 years apart.
Sabot: the Italeri SAS Land Rover is a 60s/70s one similar to Tamiya's Pink Panther.

It would take a little bit of work especcially around the front end.
The SAS Pink Panther is based on a Series III (?) Landrover whereas the WMIK Like other Wolf models is based on the Defender 110.

The 'original' Pink Panther was based on the 109 series IIA Land Rover. At a push you might be able to use the front end and chassis of the Tamiya Ambulance, although it would need a lot of scratch building.
Incidentally, the SAS have a modern version as well. The Desert Patrol Vehicle is based on the Land Rover 110 Defender. It looks like the old Pink Panther (which it replaced in the mid 80s), with a structure similar to the WMIK on the back.

Historica Production from Italy manufactures severa versions of Land Rover Defender 90 and 110. Unfortunately they have no website, but here's the link to their distributor's site.

Hi Fabio,
I had a look at your link, thanks, but as my Italian is as a paper umbrella, all I understand is that they are resin kits. They look a bit soft on detail, but the basics seem to be there. How much are these kits. Considering that they need a fair amount of detailing, they might be good starting points for a scratch building project.
Cheers
