Hi! Can anyone recommend a good plastic panzer crew to fit in my Panther G, Bavaria of 1945? Thanks!

Hi,

I take it your after 1/35 scale?

If so id suggest the Dragon set:

D6014 German Tank Crew 1944-1945

As it depicts a wide variety of poses from driving to at rest (though wether they will be suitable for your scene I don't know) and have a nice range of late war uniforms to paint. I havn't built this particular set but would recommend Dragon figures over other tank crew i've used (Academy, Italeri and Tamiya)

Hope this helps,

James

Yes yes. 1/35 it is. Sorry for not informing. Will check these figures out as they are not in the new DML catalog. Hopefully they ain't 1/32ish like their earlier releases.

BTW, how about the DML LAH division crew? Do they spot the same uniform? I have one of them and I just need a TC to make it feel alive.

Yes I think they'd go together very well as the crew sport the same uniforms.

The kit is 1/35 scale and can be found at:

http://www.netmerchants.co.uk/product.php/409/0/

Not sure why they aren't in the DML catalouge, cant seem to find them on the Dragon Models USA website either. Perhaps they aren't being made any more? All the more reason to snap them up while you can!

I just ordered Mini Art's (MIN 35021)1/35 German Tank Crew (5 figures) in winter gear (look super cool). Cost $7.95.

Nice kit,

Don't know how well they'll go with the DML LAH division crew though, I imagine they'd be a bit cold if so!

Enjoy the build they look like nice figures,

Jim-- did you build this kit? If so, can you provide some pointers? I usually acquire figures from DML or others never ordered one from these guys before.
thanks

No sorry I havn't built these,

was just commenting that they look like a very nice kit from the pictures Ive seen of them. Also suggested that they may not go with Ralph's DML LAH division crew due to the contrasting winter/summer uniforms.

I havn't built Mini-art figures before so can't offer any pointers sorry.
Check out this link for a review on another mini art figure kit:

http://perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/figures/miniart/ma35008.htm

From the looks of the spruces they don't look any different to build than a DML kit so I doubt they'll present any major problems except for possibly some more flash removal?

Have fun,

Sure sure! But probably that'll take some time, since I'm just starting the tank as we speak, a few more weeks before I buy another model, and that is the figures :-) :-)

The Mini Art figures are getting better and better with every release also.
