I just wanted to add some slings on a few US-Weapons. Started with alternative methods and Archer Pe, when i remembered the new Gen2 set i have in stock (us rangers) with a nice PE set to make this slings.
You know what ? i sat an hour there, with the slings, with the illustration, with a book, and still dont' know how to bend and fix them and what comes together.. Finally i put the stuff away and made something else. AAARGHHH. Rant over.
Have a nice Christmas
Claude

There are many things in this hobby meant to drive us over the edge in some form of hideous self torture disguised as enjoyment.
You have just experienced one of them.

My preferred method for making slings is with lead foil and etched buckles. They look amazing when painted up. The great thing about the lead foil, is its easier to shape, and fold, to get a natural hang. Etched slings are too rigid.

Thank you guys,
It's nice to see that i am not alone . Thank you Dave for that.
Thank you for the pic John.
I add one of my own.
I have my methods for making the slings, even with PE pieces etc, and i think it was not to bad.
But is anyone capable of bringing the Dragon Gen2 PE buckles in synch with this photos?
In the mean time i will switch back to foil and tape etc.
Enjoy your Christmas day
