No models either, socks, pants, a calculator that is huge (like 8.5 x 11). I did get 2 iwata air brushes and a book, armor modeling. So who am I to complain? It was wonderful and SWMBO does support my habit, and the tornado missed my house by 2.5 miles. So a lot of people were a lot less fortunate than I was this year!

I was very pleased as I have added to my modelling tools with a very welcome Mission-Models Grab-Handler. It certainly works as advertised.
Wishing everybody a great time.

You mean besides the 2nd hand Iwata airbrush and the Testors 1 1/2 ton US truck that I got for myself?
The usual, socks, I felt like the two kids in The Christmas Story, cologne, clothes, etc. I did manage to lay a heavy enough hint on my daughter for her to come through with Steven Zaloga's Modeling the US Army Sherman and M4 Sherman books.

I got socks and a bunch of snack foods like quesos and salsas. And a Barnes & Noble gift card, too. Nothing outrageous, but the wife and I decided to tone it down a bit this year.

I got some very nice professional clothes, which were sorely needed. And I also got an eBay gift certificate that has thus far resulted in:
ICM IT-28 bridgelayer
Tamiya su-122
Tamiya T-34 (need this as a spare for a conversion)
DML sd.kfz 250
DML IS-2
Various ADV and Legend figures and accessories.

Hi All,
Due to a personally-enforced policy of "no kits a gifts," I did pretty well. I picked up the Century Tracks book "The French Shermans of the Liberation 1943-1945," The H&C book, "Chaussers D'Afrique," and John Prigent's "Armour Modelling." I also got tickets to the Broadway play "Wicked" and tickets to the Professional Bull-Riding Championship in January in NYC. Thank God I work for a cosmetic company and we make cologne and perfume! I just pick up what I want from the company store. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.
Regards & Happy Holidays,
Georg

My Buddy and I got each other Kits, I picked up a trumpeter KV-2 1:35 for him to get him out of his Panzer rut and he got me a Dragon 1:72 Firefly VC. After dealing with the 1:72 photo etch I'm begining to think he hates me.
Happy Hollidays to all.

For me, hot sauce of the month subscription, partially popped popcord (called Old Maids in the rest of the world too?), new cordless screwdriver -from the wife and mostly for the wife, she hates the Makita-, some choccy , sudoku puzzles, dandylion puller and ONE model.. Tamiya JGSDF LAV.
Good thing I picked up the etch set from VLS for myself...

No modeling gifts this year. I had asked my son for sanding sticks and some Milliput, but he decided instead to get me an Xbox 360 and Call of Duty 3 game! Talk about being surprised!

Money's a little tight this year so we concentrated on the mini-wombats. But the Mrs. did give me a little something...

No kits this year but I did get a 19" flat screen monitor for my computer! That gives me much more space on the desktop to clutter up with partially built/painted kits!
(no socks, and after having had my beard since 1976 I would hope no one would give aftershave!)
Happy New Year,
Charles

I was hoping for a DML Maus or E100, but none of them were under the christmas tree.
However, I got Squadron/Signal "Air war over Korea" and "Rumanian air force". Pretty nice books on some subjects that are not really covered in depth that many places.
Day after tomorrow I might go to the local Hobby store to get myself a new years present

I feel somewhat embarrassed posting this, but I really hit the jackpot this year. I got the following:
Compressor
Omni Matrix airbrush
Academy UH-60L Blackhawk
Dragon M1A1 AIM
Dragon USMC M1A1HA OIF
Academy Warrior Op Telic
Tamiya M1113A2 Desert version
Bausch & Lomb magnifying visor
Two modeling books...
and assorted clothing.
It's great to have generous family members (including in-laws) who are also nice to be around, to boot! Now I have a hefty stash that I've built up over the past six months after returning to the hobby. It should last me a while, I hope.

HI,
Well, I got abosulutely nothing this year (or last, or the year before), not even socks or aftershave. My wife and I have a strict no Christmas present (for each other) policy so I knew that I was not going to get anything from her. Nothing also from my parents or my in-laws (the usual). I am still satisfy though as presents (even the plastic one that I crave) are not really important. I am just happy we all had a great time together. Now, I did get a nice surprise today though since outside my door was a box from Sprue Brothers containing the very talked about Wittman Tiger I. So, all was not lost after all.
Happy New Year everyone,
Rob

I got money, money, some more money, and the new gilette fusion razor and blades. No one buys me models any more because I have a lot in the stash, and no one knows which ones I have and dont have. Honestly, I already have all I want anyway, so I preferred the money as I am saving for a bigger house. That way I will have MORE room to build MORE models :-)
