Greeting all,
Can anyone tell me if this is an M4A2 Sherman III or just an M4 SHerman I.

Cheers

I tried enlarging the picture but the image gets too fuzzy to make out the engine deck. My guess is that the tank is a Sherman 5, based on the space between boogies. Also, the count of track links from the rear wheel on the center boogie to the front wheel on the rear one matches the M4A4.
I found a nifty feature on the forums called HIDE USER.
I was going to try it on myself and go stealth, but it only works on other users.

Hi Randell,
Thanks, you may well be right - a Mk V, someone else also mentioned the bogie spacing so that's probably right.
Many thanks
Al

Hi Al
I say Sherman V too. The extension of the M4A4 hull was equal to (approximately) two links in each of the top and bottom runs of the track. As a result, the space between the wheels of the adjacent bogies is roughly two track links on a Sherman V, compared to one on other Shermans.
BTW the white dots just in front of the applique were probably for use in the boresighting the guns of other tanks.
Happy New Year!
David
