I like the basic idea behind it. Change of battlefield role. I have a Marder I want to build, but it seems the marder series would not be included. I still like the idea though.

One thing I remember from my armor officers basic course is that our first rule in a target rich environment is to "Shoot anything that is different".

I say go with it Dan.

I have a couple of ideas in mind that should qualify.

Had to cancel my order on a LAV-25 Air Defence kit, so I would have to change projects to enter. However, I would be willing to test my skills at combining an OOB kit with some scratchbuilt additions. I have wanted to try build this ever since I first laid my eyes on it.

I know it may not technically have a change of battlefiled purpose, but I was thinking an exception may be made for the interesting way it was supposed to be delivered

Wow! Kevin. That would be a very interesting subject - and definently an oddball in my book. After all how many tanks out there have wings

I might jump in with a 1/35 Bergetiger from CMK if I can find enough time from work...

Pretty neat campaign idea! Hows this for an odd looking afv:-

anyone want to scratch that!? I think its refered to as a 'Cherry picker' and i believe is based on the M60 AVLB, used by the IDF.

Also would an IDF Centurion based APC be ok for this campaing-a Nagmachon, Nagmasho't, NaKpadon etc?

Centurion Hull, new suspension system, new engine, rebuilt superstructure, ERA armor blocks, Gunners 'dog house' for urban combat-thats a pretty massive conversion and it looks nothing like a centurion and certainly isnt a tank anymore. They look pretty oddball and damn ugly!! Hope it will be ok for the campaign.

Rob - cool pictures, that is EXACTLY what kind of "oddball" would fit!

Honestly I'm glad to see some replies to this, as I thought there was very little interest. I will refine the idea and submit it for an '08 campaign.

I already ordered a kit with the positive frame of mind that this campaign will be approved.

Looking forward to this one.

Dan,

Any word on if this campaign is approved or not? I am hoping that it is good to go.

I just thought I would check.

Hi Randy,

As far as I can tell-no one has submitted it as actual proposal in the campaign section that has the tab at the top of the page.

I just thought I would bump this proposal up and see if there is still interest in it and see if anyone would want to get it rolling.
