Hi all,
Blast models are to release an IDF Tiran 5 conversion set with parts to make Tiran 4 ( T-54 ) and SLA Tiran 4/5 for the Tamiya T-55.

their service and attitude suck

Hi Gilbert, are you sure you are not confusing Blast with Azimut?

Never had a any problems with Blast, whereas Azimut.. well, their service and attitude do suck terribly.

Only speaking for myself of course, it would be a real shame if you have had issues with Blast since I have always experienced their service as being top-notch.

I am curious about these releases, though. Are they re-releases of the two superb Tiran 4/5 and Jumbo conversions previously manufactured by Blast? That would make sense, and not a bad thing at all (even though both the Tiran 5 and Jumbo exist in plastic nowadays).

Cheers,
Sven

I agree with Sven, I ordered from them a few times before they moved to the new place and got the new site, and they were always great

Sven

i tried to order from them several times and i even called up the shop and spoke to one of the vendors or owners and i placed an order online 2 times for a couple of tiran 5 kits but i never got any of them

also, i had a friend order one kit for me , still with no success

as for azimut, they suck too big time

the good thing about the entire issue is i have all the masters for the tiran tanks , so no need for these silly hillbillies anymore

i am producing my own now

I just realized the original post was 12 years ago

Why not just start a new one?!

Hi Gilbert,

Sorry to hear about the troubles you have had, then I totally understand your comment :-)

Hisham, that is just too funny. I was perplexed over the announcement of these two sets since they have been around for years (I guess about 12 years, haha), that explains it.

Dredging up a 12 year old thread to complain about the service of the vendor, really?? Sounds to me like someone has an axe to grind.

Especially a vendor I've never heard anyone complain about before. I've ordered from Blast quite a few times, and their products and service have been nothing short of excellent

well that was not the case for others

at least not for me

axe ? grind ? ... they are not even worth it hahahahaha

we just share frustrations here and there , all for the fun

nothing more nothing less

long story short, they suck big time

It is blatantly obvious that you have an axe to grind. You went searching for a Blast thread to complain about them in. You clicked on it and didn't even bother to read it or you would have seen it was 12 year old post. You only posted, "their service and attitude suck" without any further qualification or explanation. Then when taken to task by other members, you say

"they are not even worth it hahahahaha

we just share frustrations here and there , all for the fun

nothing more nothing less"

etc., etc... Not too convincing if you ask me.

I too have had nothing but great service from Blast. It looks like your experience is either self predicated, or never happened at all. Pretty hard to ignore the evidence of everyone else.

Also, if you were to use some punctuation and capitalization, your point may come across a little more coherently as well.

I feel I need to add that the first time I tried to order from them, they didn't have the country Egypt in the drop down list, so I contacted them and they said it's just that they never had any orders from Egypt, but the took the time to add Egypt to their site so I could make my order.. Now, a store that goes through the trouble for just one customer can't be that bad

I'm not saying that what you say happened didn't happen, but there must have been a misunderstanding or something... because the people you're describing can't be the same people I dealt with several times.. and I'd hate for a good store to get a bad rep because of one bad transaction

Hisham, it is the exact opposite of what they told me even though my country was on their drop list

and when i spoke to the blast person, he simply said "i don't want to sell people from your country"

regardless of my country, i think it is was very stupid from his end to say that

and after placing 2 consecutive orders to be shipped to 2 different addresses in Europe and the USA , they sure took the time to cancel both my orders

long story short, they're not worth it

Gino,

if you really care to know, here is the full version

I saw the kit for the first time back in 2013
I called them to ask if they can ship it down to Beirut

they said : no we don't sell people from Lebanon"

I placed an order to be shipped to my address in the USA, NY to be more specific

they canceled it

I placed another to be shipped to my address in France, Versailles to be more specific

they canceled it

I asked a friend in Russia to buy a kit they had in stock
Eliya is his name

he placed that order and asked to be sent to me at my address in Qatar

and again they refused

oh please don't get me wrong, I couldent care less if you are convinced or not, it is the least of my worries

it is what it is

well, as far as I am concerned ... THEY SUCK BIG TIME in my opinion

their kits are top notch, but their services are not, at least from my point of view

and now I produce my own kits happily ever after

cheers Budy

Hisham, a store does not go through the trouble of adding egypt or any other nation’s name on its drop thumb , it is in their best interest to do so

a store is primarily a business and it is the least they can do to add your country on their drop thingy

and by reading the responses over my comment i kinda feel that modellers are becoming slaves to brands and stores and names , while it should be the other way around

it is them who need us
it is them who need to cater for us

not the other way around

all i did was shared my experience with this blast person
but i see my comment is taking another dimension

maybe i was not as lucky as all of you were, and had a bad day with the blast person thingy , but at the end, who really cares

take it easy guys and let s keep it light

cheers
