Great work Henk. Love what you´re doing to the interior!
My wife reckons your curtains are clashing with the wallpaper
How unfortunate that your wife does not share your good taste in interior decorating... :-) :-)
The green curtains and green wallpaper were the best available match. And, as a bloke, I only needed 5 minutes to make my choice, and I did not need to go back to change my original choice ...
:-) :-)

Very nice work. I love the interior.
I still have the mini-art Belgian Village House Lying around, but haven't figure out what I'm gonna do with it.

Fantastic work. I gotta say I love to see these built up. I'm in love with Mini-Art. So many great products at very reasonable prices, and threads like these show what a great result can be had with a bit of work and attention to detail.

Cheers Martin, and Zokissima.
Managed to get some of the wood staining done today, as well as the wallpaper and made a start on the roof. I have also decided that it will be a livingroom/study type room. I will sculpt a sofa, and possibly a chair. Another corner table perhaps, and a large number of books, togo with the book case and shelfs.
The ceiling is halfway finished, the final 'plaster' coat will be next. Still need to make a door, as the MiniArt plastic door is to tall for an interior door. No problem, as the doors need to be damaged anyway.
Cheers
Henk

Doh, Doh, trice Doh...
Just realised that I made an error, building technique wise... the error is reversible though, and remidial action is already underway.. more updates tomorrow.

Hello,
Not much work done yesterday, (as it happened I spend a lot of time asleep, for once... ). I did sculpt a few books, and started on a 'comfy chair', but the result on that one is convincing me that simple wooden chairs would look much better...
Today have managed to start on the roof section properly. The ceiling now has the ceiling battens on the right side of the beams...
.
Cheers
Henk

Nicely done Henk !!!
You've been bitten by the bug and now you're infected, don't forget some dangly wires hanging out of the walls and ceilings, what you're doing is beautiful, and building structures just aint for background any more, they are builds in themselves !!!

Crikey, it's been a busy week, but I managed to make some more progress. As the profiles that I orderd for the tiles had not yet arrived, I decided to go for a slate roof. With slate in short supply, I have used a sheet of pine, cut to size and glued in place individualy. Claude (roudeleiw) has much to answer for.... :-)

Close examination of the work in progress. Brutally honest, her opinion can make or break my efforts...

Thanks Dave, and Prato.
Here's a few more close-ups, no time to add anything today, as I'm of to work again in an hour or so...
To create a bit of variety in the room sizes, I have raised the floor in this room, th bottom part of which will be covered in rubble. I will have to add ascratched door to thefirst floor, as the plastic MiniArt door is to big (high) for an interior door.
The 'lead' on the roof edge is wine bottle foil, and I will add the MiniArt guttering and drainpipes as well.
Cheers
Henk

Henk, superb job. After watching this build months ago I have just ordered the building for a Market Garden dio.I've never built one of these vacform kits before so any tips would be appreciated. What sort of glue did you use? Also where did you get the ornate ceiling rose. Really nice touch.

Thanks Karl and Felix.
Sorry for the late reply, I should have subscribed to this thread really...
Been a while, but I've made some more progress, and have finally decided on where this is going...
I think...
The Hetzer will be knocked out, by a Bazooka round, and a number of G.I. (from a Dragon set, the Remagen one) will be checking the Hetzer and surviving crew, as well as keeping a guard for more Germans.
A (large) tree will be added inside the park wall corner. Possibly a Jeep... Lots of rubble ( but no oildrums...
)
The road and pavement are made with Plus Model items.
Cheers
Henk

I'm really not a big fan of there buildings, I had one a while back. I don't know if I was using the wrong tool to cut with or what, but I almost lost the tip of my finger, I ended up with 4 stiches. Hope I'm not being to graphic, but belive it or not they stiched right through the nail?

It's a long term project...

Hi Dan,

this review Maybe the wrong tool, maybe the wrong way?

Nice work Henk, particularly the interior...I've got this same kit coming from Santa (if I behave myself!) and your thread is a real inspiration....can't wait to see the finished diorama.

I've just started mine and I think I agree with you about the floor being damaged in the wrong place.
I'm planning on mine having a flat roof with a skylight, kind of like an artists studio.
Incidentally in case you havent already guessed some of the signs translate as follows...
Kavehaz = Cafe
Cipo Sarok = Footwear/Shoe Corner
Cipok = Shoe Polish
Sajat Keszitmenyu opo Aruhaza = Handmade (Shoe) Emporium
Bor = Wine
So basically you have a Cafe, Shoe Shop or Wine Shop which gives you some options for an interior if you use the signs in the kit.
