I usually use the cardboard sections in a bag of cookies. Cut, paint and glue. Done. Some of it may be a bit out of scale, but it works for me. I rec'd a spice jar rack from my parents for Christmas, and the corragated cardboard that was wrapping the jars is much smaller than the cookie bags, and thinner, kept all that and will be using that.

Two suggestions for corregated roofing:

1) you can purchase sheets of corrugated paper in the crafts section of most arts and crafts stores... works quite well.

2) Check out the Hansa 1/35 scale corregated tin sold in bags of 3 sheets. www.scalemilitary.com.

We sell them at our store, and they are quite inexpensive.

There are various ways of doing what is suggested in Ken's post. But thats the trick one. Its easy and 'doable' and convincing.

I as of yet have not had to make corrugated metal, but while in a Starbucks I noticed the sleeves they give you to put on hot cups looks to be about right. I actually liberated some and added to my supplies draw. May work.

Try these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180075030044&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX&refitem=190069963170&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget

Once you get these, or similar pieces from a Campbell HO kit, you can burnish heavy duty foil over them and make as many as you like. Use acid to make very realistic rusted out sections, and paint. You get a very good scale thickness, and the corrugations are actually closer to 1/35 scale than HO.

ETA: Other than the acid part, similar to above methods.

You guys ever watch your wives or girlfriends do scrapbooking?? They have paper rollers that will emboss patterns and such on the paper they use.,. Im almost sure Ive seen one of these kicking around here with just the right pattern for the corragated roofs.. Might be worth looking into the better halfs scapbooking tools...

Mojo. I know the wife has a whack of scrapbooking embossing tools someplace. If she has the right one, I owe you a Timmie's!
