Ok, its about that time again. For those of you who are not familiar this is starting to become a fun-little running campaign started by a former member that that focuses on softskin vehicles.

So this time around we need a new twist. I remember Rob (Sabot) making the idea of wheeled vehicles but the twist is that only armed vehicles are allowed, be it a 2 1/2 with a ring mounted MG, or a full blown guntruck

I'm open to all ideas and all contributions.

BTW, I figure the time frame would be similar to last year. Summer (~May) to end of 2007.

I guess I could come up with something.
I should have cleared up the work bench by summer.

Sounds like one that i too could be tempted into.

Hey Jeff, it would be great if you could submit the link of this thread when you decide to submit your proposal for the campaign. It would make it easier for me reference back to this thread to see how well received it has been from members.

Cheers!

Robin, I like the title.
Jeremy, I will make a note to definitely do so. Provided I can get a few more people, I'll submit it within the next couple of weeks.

Hmm....already hoping to enter 3 or 4 campaigns proposed so far and seem to be doing well on the vote.....but Im sure I could fit one more! Maybe either a HMMWV or MUTT with a TOW, or simply a big foot with a .50 cal on a ring mount.

Why move the goal posts, and make it even more specialised. Wheels meant, anything on wheels ... work-horses. A gun-truck campaign would maybe more apt for maybe Rob´s idea.
Its not the end of the world if this is what you decide to do, but I have a few trucks I need to build, but none of them are gun trucks.
I also have comleted both previous "wheels - move it" campaigns, and would like to be part of the third campaign, but have too many other plans to start a gun truck. Just my €0.02!

Ok Frank, I think that probably is a better intent for this campaign. So say, anything on wheels that is meant to move men, equipment, or supplies, armed, armored, or not.

Basically how would others, including those that have already said yes, feel about that? This is your campaign, so suggestions are more than recommended.

Doesn't really matter to me if it has a gun or not.

Thanks Jeff! I don´t want to spoil anybody´s fun, and if you decide to go with the guntruck idea ... its cool with me.
I´ll still build my trucks Just thought the third ribbon would sit nicely, beside my other two!

I think it would be good to open it up to with or without a gun, as long as it was designed to move something. I may take back my idea of a Bigfoot, and supstitue a HEMTT fuler in that case. I think it opens it up enough to have good variety and preferance, but not so much that you can build anything under the sun.

Yeah Kevin, I think I like the idea of going back to what the original Move It campaign that Cliff started (there's a name that hasn't been spoken in a while ; anyone - without restarting anything - heard an update from him...is he still alive?). Anyway, Cliff had a fairly open-ended campaign that left plent of options open while still maintaining the purpose of this campaign and I'd like to go back towards that this time around.

Move It - Three Times?
Move It - All the Way! ?
Move It - Keep on truckin' ?
Wheels - Move It Three Times ?

Doesn't matter to me what it's called, as long as it's wheels and tires all the way. :-)

Here is the campaign proposal

Wheels and Tires All the Way

Operation
April 31, 2007 - November 31, 2007
All Scale

Operational Overview
This is a general campaign that includes vehicles designed to transport men and equipment. See rules below for more information, but this campaign is generally reserved for softskin vehicles

Rules

- All scales are open
- All countries and all eras open
- Guntruck allowed
- Exceptions to the softskin rule include, but are not limited to, all humvees and halftracks. However try to keep it within the intent of the campaign. If you think that your entry may not be appropriate, feel free to ask me.

Contest element
Multiple entries allowed. Participants will receive a ribbon at the conclusion of the campaign

---------------------------------------------------

The reason I'm including all humvees and halftracks is because its not worth it to say yes to this, no to that. Like the rules state, use common sense and keep it within the intent of the campaign.

If you have any questions or comments, let me know. This will be submitted within a couple days.

Proposal submitted.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff, I've received it.

We may have to revisit the start date of this campaign at a later time. Alot of the campaigns that are set to go live next week will end on the last day of July so there's quite a huge overlap if this starts in May. ie: alot of people are still rushing to clear the campaigns that they have enlisted to at that time.

Would there be any issues with starting this campaign on the 1st of August?
