The shorter 39 caliber barrel is the correct type. However, the barrel itself is too long with the length from the front of the fume extractor to the muzzle break being 76mm (3”) while it should only be 55mm (2 3/16 “) and there is also some detail missing from just in front of the fume extractor.

Iv just built the AS90 the parts i used
were D1 D2 D31 D32 that is the155mm 39 Caliber gun
good modeling.

Generally the Trumpeter kit is not very accurate. However you can get an update set which is for the 39 cal. Op Telic version from Accurate Armour here

What's scary here is that the Trump AS90 is about £12 whilst the update set is £45.
