Spledid chaps! I really like your finished works. Thank you all for joining and completing your builds. Much appreciated.

Crusader is progressing, main coat of paint on, just touch ups and detail painting to do, then the fun part - weathering B)
Note the tracks, they are the rubber band variety, which I know a lot of people hate. I thought I'd try one for size to see how it looks. Not only is it a perfect fit, it also clips into place and holds together without any superglue at all!!! Full marks Italeri - not bad for a kit that's what, 20+ years old?
I'm also contemplating adding a commander figure - Ultracast. But the turret is completely devoid of interior detail, and the hatch is quite wide....

Well, it's been slow progress for me on my build for this campaign. I've chosen Tamiya's M1A2 in OIF 1 markings. So far I have sprayed the base color (sand, of course!) and today I managed to find the time to do all the decals. Here's a pic of where it stands right now (you can see the nearly complete roadwheels in the back):
Work and life have kept my building time to a minimum for the past two months. As a result, I think I'm going to be sweating bullets to finish the campaign on time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

@Fabio: great little Samovente you have there.
@Neil: It looks good - it seems like the tracks are fine to me. As you said, not bad for an old kit. I would go for the commander figure eventhough the turret hatch is a little wide. The figure gives some extra life and scale to the model.
@Lucas: I hope you will have time to finish your Abrams. It would be a great entry into the campaign.
Great models, guys. Thanks for sharing

This it´s my first update for this campaign, will be a desert painted M3A1 Stuart, in service with the Chilean Army as late as in mid 70´s! Will be in a 3 tone camouflage (sand, wide stripes of tan and narrow black lines). it´s the Academy kit built mostly OOB, only added a few chains for the fuel barrel and add a "circular" plastic part to close the position of the MG´s on both sides. Yet to place some straps for the baggies on the right side and start painting it.
After the construction
And after the first coat of paint:
Thanks for looking
Cheers

Ok, heres what I'm working on. A thousand pardons for the quality of the pictures, I can never seem to get the right light when it comes to these pics.
I've recently learned how to airbrush, and pretty much sanded this down and started over. the ammo boxes look the best so far; I painted them oils and then wiped them down with a slightly damp brush. I really need to work on the tracks and wheels, but I've got two other projects underway, and I always seem to pick them up first. i think I have an aversion to the Marder because it was by far one of the more difficult and tedious of projects I've worked on so far. Not to sure I like building arty!!

Whoa! That's a nice Panzer III you got there, Danial.
I'm not much of an armor guy but great work with the chipping and the chain adds a nice touch.
Just wondering though, where's the MG at the front? Would a misting of Buff give the tank a sandy appearance?

Eeee, some knacky models here! I guess this is where I bring in my Tamiya LRDG?
'Te Aroha III' belonged to T1 Patrol from April through to September 14 1942, being destroyed by air attack (Fiat CR 42s) during the withdrawal from 'Operation Caravan', a combined Guards & T Patrol attack on Barce airfield and township.
The crew from about May '42: Driver: Trooper Keith Tippett. Gunner: Trooper Bruce Dobson. W/T Operator/Navigator: Trooper Frank Jopling.
Just before Opn. Caravan 'Te Aroha III' had been overhauled by the LRDG workshop: the name was repainted in black on a strip of Canadian sand; T9 green/black repainted as T2 (lead W/T & navigational vehicle for mission) in black on front 'PASS' plate; WD No stencilled in the middle of the bumper. Armament changed to 2 x Vickers K on passenger doorpost and 2 x .303 Browning 'twinned' back of Gotfredson 4B1 steel ammunition body.

Such information appears when I want upload pics of my entry to campaing's gallery. I think there are too many pics of each model. Could you pick just two the best in your opinion so every participant could place a pic of their work. Thanks.

Ralph,
If I understand well, a vignette with only figures don't match the campaign requirements ? And you don't consider donkey as a primal armor ?
Ok I enlist and will see what could I do.
Best,
Julien

I actually had a picture of myself, mounted on a burro, in Iraq. My unit confiscated it when put the following caption on it, "I joined the army because of the modern equipment"
As I recal, it was sand colored.

****** Point of Order .*********...................
The Campaign Leader has basicly asked me(by P-M) to ...REMOVE MY SUBMISSION..as it is not YELLOW ...he cannot see any shade ..
I submitted my entry ..in good faith...(Submitted Apr 30 --now 16 May) with the knowledge that it has a yellow tinge --but not realy showing on pics---
I there-fore ask that the Leader to re-assess ALL submissions (......"strictly by the rules"......) and the *colours *that are shown in the Gallery
Before weathering (Humbrol-Sand)
A few of the ref pics I used ...camera's can lie!!
From Refs
If the entry is not acceptable ---I shall gladly remove it -when the other *YELLOW*colours do like wise
Most disappointed
aye

Barv, I will leave it up to the both of you to work out, but if someone were to ask me- I can definetely see the yellow/sand tinge in your second pic on the first batch of photos you posted. It falls into place better after you posted this batch showing the basecolor.
