I've got a Revell Demag I need a motivator to build. Perhaps I will open up the kit, take a look at what's inside and see if I should join the campaign. Anyone know if there is a PE detail set for this kit? I believe the Revell Demag is a rebox of the Italeri kit but with a troop carrying body.

Count me in.. I love half-tracks.. I got a couple of U.S. ones in 1/72 and a couple of the Tamiya 1/35's left.. and thats not counting the 3 or 4 german ones I have.. This will be a good excuse to build one.

Hi all,
I'm one of the few modellers who don't have a decades-old collection of kits waiting for better times (I think it's just the matter of Polish reality - prices and earnings ) But I think I was born to win the lottery and one day...
To be frank, I'm a vehicle modelling newbie and I'd like to ask for your advice. I'd like to take part in the campaign but I'd prefer building sth quite simple. I just love the looks of Sd.Kfz 222 but it's a wheeled vehicle so it doesn't count here. Is there a halftrack you would suggest as a good one for a begginer? I have some skills and a bit of general modelling experience supported by a small workshop, I just need a kit that would be a straightforward, simple build, preferably without any major corrections needed...
Sorry for the length and going but maybe you'll find a while to help me...
Thanks in advance,
Mikolaj

Just made this thread a sticky so that members can easily find it. Will be doing the same for all official threads related to this years campaign.

Well Mikolaj, I think both of us are in the same ship :-) . I am no too sure which halftrack is simple to build but a friend of mine recommend me to get the Tamiya ones.
Well guys, maybe you could share your thoughts as well to help Mikolaj here.

Well I've decided to build two different models for this Campaigne, which I've been dying to build , ( you can ask my wife about that).
The first will the be a Tamiya 18 ton Sugkraftwagon FAMO, with the Tamiya Tank Recovery Accessory set.
The second will be the Dragon 2 in 1 M2A1 Halftrack Smart Kit, straight out of the box with no extras.
Mikolja,
I think Daniel is right, the Tamiya halftrack would be little easier to build than Dragon, but you make the choice, its as hard as you let it to be. Any way its for fun and to help each other out.
I'll post a couple of pics later before I start both my builds. I can't wait to start and work with everyone, and have some fun.

I think I'm in. Got a lot on the bench currently with all the campaigns starting. Plus I'm building some ships for the forseeable future.
Good luck to all!

Anybody building the Tamiya Famo?
This one is just crazy! I didn't realize how huge that one was until I saw the art on Tamiya's box. I think that I'd go for destroying something cheaper M3 maybe...
I wonder if anyone will go for the Kettenkrad, being mostly tracks rather than wheels, but a halftrack anyway (is it?).

I'd like to be in, I have just started the Dragon M2A1 last week, it's probably about 10% built, got the chassis completed.
Can I still enter with this?

Mikolaj,
I know, thats why I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, Its been sitting on my to build shelf for the past three months waiting for this campaigne to start.
I just received the Dragon M2A1 acouple of weeks ago, this would be a good one to enter in the campaigne also. I just hope that I can find the right figures to go with the models, we'll have to wait and see.

Hello All!
I will be building the Tamiya Sd. Kfz 7/1 8 ton Flakvierling. I opened up the box last night and all the parts look awesome--this will be my first completed tamiya model. I hope we can keep this thread active so that everyone keeps motivated about building their Halftracks!

I'm convinced that you mean the drivers' figures, but I found something great yesterday that would look just great with a German halftrack.
I found these on a Polish auction portal (Allegro.pl) and I think they are homemade copies of Verlinden or a similar company and unfortunately I don't know which. I don't want to advertise the guy's merchandise but if anyone would be interested in buying these I can send them a link. Unless I buy these guys myself

Mikolja,
Those figures look great, if I was you i would snatch them up for yourself, I'm looking for or I might have already the figures (about 5 to 6 in all) for the setting I have planned out for my FAMO.
I've already name the dio I plan to build for my Famo , "Setting Up Shop", but it will be in German if I can find someone to translate it for me. If anyone can help, I would appricate it.
My M2A1 will be a dedication to my Grandfather who died during WW2 on April 14, 1945, with 53ed Infantry, attached to the 4th Armour Div in during the dattle for the Natherlands, the full story will be told in another post for this Campaigne
Cheers Mike

Hi all,
With all of the campaigns that I entered last year and not a single one completed, I'll enter my Tamiya 1/35 M16 as my sole campaign entry for the year! (Except for the ACUTR entry, but that started way back in September)... I look forward to this, it's also my first WW2 Allied build. Cheers!

One of my colleagues at work might be helpful but I'm not quite sure what does the name "Setting Up Shop" stand for. Do you mean literally starting up a new (work)shop? If only you explained it to me, I think I could help you with translating it.

I'll build Dragon's SdKfz 2 Kettenkrad. I haven't decided yet which one, but I think I'll pick the one with Puppchen.

Great choice! I was wondering who'll have a go on these little ones.
As some of the guys here tend to always go for the BIG stuff, you choose the nicest of the little things.Your Bofors wz.36 from the 'Arty Up!' campaign looks just great and made me consider buliding a small piece of arty myself
