This is the diorama I very recently finished. It's of a US dock late in WW2.

Jerimiah O'Brian Liberty Ship
Everything else was scratchbuilt. Yes, it does light up. Time taken to build - 6 months
I am only recently doing armour dio's because of my facination for the WW2 Geman seige guns, hence my Savastopol railhead and Anzio Annie bombardment scenes.

Kym, this is a beautiful piece of work, magnificant! 6 months to build, wow if I tried that it'd be over a year! Love how it lights up as well, looks most realistic in the "night time" Can't stop looking at it.

The quality of your work and the detail is breathtaking and must be stunning to see it in the flesh. I know that I have seen some of your work on the link that you sent me, but I am amazed at what you have achieved here. That is all I can really say, except I still wonder where the inspiration comes from to produce these superb works of art.

Great stuff! Thanks for posting it. Just where did you get the H/Ts from though?

Really incredible, especially at night. I can't imagine the expense that went into this, with all those resin ships, not to mention the time. Six months? The only way I could have done anything even remotely close to this in six months is if I quit my job, left my wife, and worked on it every waking minute.

As a Navy history buff I like being able to see the relative size of the various ship types, especially the Alaska and the Pittsburgh. That's something a dio like this can really show so much better than just the kits by themselves.

I did one ship years ago. It was just enought to appreciate what you have done here.
For a moment i thought that you could have wheatered a bit more the buildings, but realize that a hangar at 1/350 does not amount to a lot of surface to wheater. How high are those barrels ? 1 mm ?
