In a word - wonderful
For those that aren't aware, this is a Multi-Media kit - Plastic, Resin and PE (along the lines of their Sahariana). It's going to much more expensive than the usual (plastic) range BUT as the only alternative at the moment is Resin, it's still going to work out as a bargain.
Italeri has, in little more than a year, gone from a 'half-forgotten' company to a VERY serious player indeed. In fact, what they have done is (considering the higher production costs in Europe) is move right in (with some of their 1/35th releases) to the SPECIFIC market (us) rather than the 'casual market' (occasional buyer in toy stores etc.).
Just imagine the quality of Accurate Armour but at 'plastic prices' - this is VERY radical marketing indeed.
So, jiust make sure you support them!

Italeri is doing very good.
They were away from the "high tech" kit and confined in the old molds, but now they are still predominant in the cheap, but good kits, and are conquering the high tech market with models other don't produce (generally because there are not german, so presumptuously they won't sell ).
Nice work amici, but please give us pics of the finished and painted Bofor !

I see that Bronco is also coming out with not only a Staghound but a Humber Scout car, so this is all doubly good news, as there will be 2 Staghounds to choose from.
Albeit the Italeri one will probably make it to the retail shelves first!

For a good few years Italeri was the "sleeping giant" of the main plastic model manufacturers - quite content to produce decent but inferior imitations of Tamiya subjects - however someone in thecompanys management has woken up to the fact that there is no longer just one competitor to compete against (Tamiya) as in the 70`s & 80`s, there are now several - it has taken Italeri well over ten years to "wake -up" to this fact - but they have now woken up big time and are responding with renewed vigour to the fact that modellers actually want to build kits of British ( and yes the penny has finally dropped ! ) - Italian AFV`s !

Excellent news, it looks rather good, may just have to move over to the OD side for a little while... :-)

It looks nice. Builds of it will surely be presented here on the site. Its always nice to see some (brand) new vehicles now and then. And it is certainly nice to see Italeri doing a "comeback", as Jim and Negrillo also points out. Italeri news announcements last year were - in my opinion - the most interesting compared to the two other 1/35th giants: Dragon and Tamiya. Not saying that either Dragon or Tamiya do dull or uninteresting kits, but Italeri had a broader selection of (new) kits: Italian vehicles, German trailers, mini-subs and torpedoboats. Apperantly it seems that Italeri will continue their announcements of interesting new kits this year also. There has to be an alternative to Tamiyas and Dragons selections of models, and it seems that Italeri is trying to become that alternative.

Long live Italeri!!
I've built some stuff from them and liked it.
Bringing these kits out will swing me onto their customer (and fan) base.

Damn right I will!
After complaining so much about there being too many Axis kits, the last 6 months have been a delight for me, and I definitely intend to put my pennies where my mouth is!
Of course, there's a difference between buying and building... What you can't buy is time :-)

Tell you what Sean.
You buy it as soon as it comes out but don't build it.
In six months sell it to me at half price.
Think how happy our SWMBOs' will be!
You get rid of a kit so yours will be happy!
I buy something at half price so mine will be happy!
Good idea eh?
:-) :-) :-)
