About Pilgrim
Like most members of Armorama I built models in my childhood: 1/72 Airfix & matchbox aircraft and armour. As I got older and discovered pubs and girls, the hobby went by the wayside. When my son was born in 2004 I realised I'd be getting out less and I needed a hobby and so took up modelling again, prompted by discovering Armorama via Google and finding that there were techniques I could learn that would allow me to make some way towards mimicking the models I so admired in an old Tamiya catalogue I bought when I was 12. Since taking up the hobby again I have found it the ideal refuge from the pressures of working life, whether I have a spare 5 minutes or 5 hours. Thankfully my wife enjoys the things I produce and encourages me wholeheartedly in the hobby.
