Flakbatteries are deployed with searchlights right? Maybe not all the time.

But does anybody have reference pics enough to scratchbuild one?

Thanks.

AFV Club is releasing a 60cm searchlight soon:

http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/afvclub.htm

Flak batteries (zug) would have the controller unit, the guns, the power unit , searchlights and sometimes sound locator equipment with them.

Heavy Flak guns would require quite a bit of space because of the danger of the muzzle blast. Have a read here:
http://www.missing-lynx.com/library/german/flak_dmourtizsen.html

He says guns would be 50m from the next gun (or equipment like searchlights)

Did the Germans ever use these spotlights on flatbed rail cars? I was thinking the other day that I'd like to use one in my rail yard scene. Great to see this being released.

You'll find at least a few pics of the 150cm searchlight on the SdAnh 104 trailer ("150cm Flakscheinwerfer 34 auf SdAnh 104") HERE

Has any company produced a 150cm searchlight? Could perhaps two 60cm searchlights have been used on one flatbed?

Yes. DesKit has released a 1/35th resin kit of the 150mm Sw 37 searchlight on the SdAnh 104 trailer (kit # 35063) :

DesKit website

R&J products is one of DesKit's retailers. The kit is listed there at $72.00.....

I was thinking of putting the Flakvierling 38 alongside the searchlight on a 150mmX250mm base setting. So this isn't possible then according to what you just said.

How's about a single 20mm flak gun with a searchlight nearby?

It takes two to operate the searchlight right?
