I actually like the level of rust depicted. Looks very similar to unpainted steel suspension parts on a car after a few months. Considering how short the lifespan of a typical T34 was I think its very convincing. Most of the rust I see looks more like the rust from metal particles more then solid steel parts, that or parts that have been exposed to weather for 10 years. I think on the two threads he's been asked what color that is half a dozen times already

Ron - very, very nice result here. It should be turned into a modeling feature, if you haven't already been approached by the fine editorial staff here on Armorama.
Have you tried photographing it against a background color other than white? White sometimes confuses the meter inside the camera and makes white markings on the central subject "jump" out more than you'd want them too. Just a suggestion...

sorry for the late reply my computer took a big dump and i lost everything and had to reformat my hard drive with no recent backups, i've just now got it running again i did submit an article but i dont have any copies so if it isnt up to scratch, well its gone now.
Anyways they will be others, the bedsprings were painted in flat black then sprayed with rattle can krylon camoflage brown i got from home depot.

Although Rusky armour is not my forte I think this really looks the part! I love the steel cage armour, looks excellent.
