Hi all;
I can across this on the net. A Ferret Scout Car mounting what I take to be a ZU23/2. The photo was taken in Kathmandu, Nepal on 01 February 2006.

cheers

That looks totally crazy :-) :-) Could be a really good conversion to do though.

Thanks for sharing

I am trying to figure out which base ferret this vehicle was converted from. I really can't tell if it is a 2/3 or a 1/1 or ???? I'm figuring it is probably one with a turret, so a 2/3 is more likely, but????

Anyone else?

I borrowed this pic of a Nepalese Ferret (2/3?) from Army Recognition

They appear to have got some Mk 4s as well, but it's hardly one of those.

Hi Patrick;

I found the picture in Military Photos (forums) under Nepal Air Force/Army. There are other Ferrets all 2/3 (I think) but alas none other of that version. I hope this is of some help in tracking down the original version.

cheers

Like many other cases where small armies put honkin' big weapons on little tiny AFVs, this puppy is likely to get only the first round of any burst anywhere near a target. Can you imagine how much it's gonna bop around on full boogie?
