favorate part , Building , air brushing and weathering, (except lower hull)
Not mad on painting rims on road wheels assembleing individual track links thought worth the effort
Love to hate photo etch brass
Despise soldering , always make a total mess of it , must try to improve ,
hate it when I over do weathering stage and make an unholey mess

most favourite step will be: airbushing, weathering and adding equipment because it will give the kit a personal touch.
I dislike the pre work, cutting out of the sprue and sanding the pieces.

I think with me it will be "Road Wheels!"
The same for me! I don't mind the rest of it.

I hate base coating the tracks and the assembled model. Its very time consuming making sure all gaps/recesses are primed black.
My favorite part is just the plain old building steps(except filing/sanding roadwheels).

Favourite: building, adding small custom / scratched items.
:-)
Least favourite: Preping (sanding de-flashing, filling holes, etc..) and paint roadwheels.

A tip for painting roadwheels quickly and easily, when already placed on the tank.
Spray the whole wheel black ... front an d what you can of the back.
Spray the inner hub with the base colour. Lower the pressure and spray lightly. Hold the airbrush nozzle close to the area you´re spraying as possible. Start in the middle and work towards the outside in a circular motion. When/if overspray becomes a problem .. stop.
A quick black wash around the wheel metal rim.
With a thin brush, dry brush the wheel rim with the base colour lightened lightly.
With the usual weathering steps afterwards, no more effort is needed.
I sprayed the wheels, weathered the lower hull and added a faded basecoat on my Tarawa sherman last night in about 25 minutes.
I took pictures as I went along to explain this better .. look out for a blog update this weekend, if you want to see this.

I'm getting ready to paint my T35 over the base coat tonight, and am sitting here at work thinking about it. The more I think about it, favorite thing is doing all the shading with the pen.

I just hate COMPLETING the model. I have a bunch that have the paint work done awaiting weathering.

Building is the best part for me, but also the worst I Hate having to clean up 200 plus track links with injector pin marks . Thank god for Dragons/DML's new Magic-tracks/EZ tracks.

My favorite is the weathering.
Least favorite and the part I really, really dislike is the scraping, sanding and applying the putty...

Hey, you're reading my mind! Should I put on my tinfoil hat?
I was about to ask the same questions...
It used to be building (when I started I didn't bother to paint, and by new years eve, all my Christmas gifts were completed... Now it's more weathering and painting with airbrush... If you gave me the model half-assembled, I'd be happy.
Washing, chipping and drybrushing. I can't master either of them, and in my opinion, most of the time they don't give convincing finish... (Sour grapes, I'm afraid...)

a) Which is your favourite step of finishing the kit (building, priming, base color & camouflage, washing, chipping, final flat coat and weathering)?

Favorite - Painting. Airbrushing camouflage and markings are tops for me.
Least-favorite - anytime a requirement to mask a clear part comes up. Which, thankfully, doesn't come up to often in armor!

The things I hate the most are
Overdetailing with photoetch, enough to drive anybody crazy
and also, painting roadwheels.
Haven't built German armor in a while but I never liked Zimmerit coating neither.
What I like the best is painting and weathering this really brings out the soul of the Model
Regards all

I hate removing parts from a sprue tree ! The best things are doing transfers and washing ! T-34,s love a good dirty wash ! It,s hard to beat some of those Soviet AFV transfers on the market. Cheers-
