Here is my newest project, Tamiyas 1/35th Marine amphibious AAVP7A1. Not much to say about the build as it’s straight forward. There are 3 great reviews on Vodnik's web site,
look here The kit is totally interior less so with the help of HeavyArty who pointed me in the right direction for interior shot, I then started my own using Evergreen Plastic sheets. My plans are correcting and adding missing detail that Pawel pointed out in his article.

Welcome home Joe,
I like your choice of non-airborne subject, both ground and water borne...
Great to see you turning your skills with the 'plastic sheet' to Armour, and looking forward to progress. Please make sure to take plenty of pictures, I can see a feature in the making...
Cheers

Joe,
One heckuva start there, bud! A super-nice and clean build. Can't wait to see you moving up into the tunnel. That gets really crowded up there! What are you using for reference material? If you need anything give me a holler! Keep taking pics, dude!

Nice. What do you use for cutting the circles for the turret tub? I've got a cheap cutting compass that takes forever or else will try and cut spirals.
Nice to see a good scratch build stick it to to the overpriced resin conversions.

Thanks guys…and oh yeah Quagmire :-)
Henk, yeah I decided to venture into the armor subject after seeing and learning from the members here. I never get into armor as I wasn’t knowledgeable. I have to say that I’m really enjoying it very much. Thanks..
Klaus, yes I will take closer photos for you. Also when I do something like this I always make doubles. This way I have a set to draw up in case someone could use them and in case I decide to do a second.
Mike I’ve been using net photos and what Gino sent, pretty much what is found on the net. I could use some reference in the tunnel, not much out there. If you can provide them that be great…or I’ll just do my best.
Paul, I’ve tried many ways of cutting circles and this works best for me, using a circle template draw the circle. Then just cut close to the line (fig.1) and (fig.2). Then sand to the pencil, it’s fast and easy.

Joe,
Let me know what you need in the way of reference pics and I'll see what I can come up with! I have tons of both LVTP and AAVP interior images. At one time I considered designing patterns of the AAVP for Trakz, but got sidetracked on another project.
BTW, I use that same technique for cutting circles! Thanks for sharing as that method is so simple and comes in handy for all kinds of uses!
Later,
Mike

Joe, what I see in the pic tells me this is going to be one awesome build. Knowing what you can do, makes it a clear sign that this build will blow me outta the water.

Great job my friend.

Very nice start Joe.
I've done one of this too just before HF release their pricey interior set and I had a lot of fun doing this from scratch.
I had a lot of pics to help along with the ads for the HF conversion which proved very helpful. The only area I was (am) very poor in references is the turret basket details.
Good luck with your project and keep us posted.

A little up date

Some added detail to inner walls...

Cut ovals out, sanded and widen holes…

Glued small backers behind holes, sliced .025 rod and glued around hole and placed in the cutout…

Finished piece…

More to follow,
Joe

Joe this is really looking good! Like some others have mentioned I too have plans to do this some day as I really don't want to ante up the bucs for the HF conversion that's out. Keep the updates coming, these pics are going on the HD for future reference.

Joe, one word - Excellent.

BTW, how did you cut those small circular nuts? Also, how did you achieve the oval pattern?
