Where do you live? I have an extra English version for you. Basically everything was dark grey with the breech opening natural steel. Dk grey for rubber tires too.
If later in the war, then everything was the standard German three tone dark yellow, red-brown, olive green.
WHy the size differences? Because people are careless. A six foot person should be 2" tall in 1/35. Some figures are known for their misproportion. Some makers are better than others.
BTW, the Krupp Protze should not be used to haul your Pak 40, if that's in y our plans. The Pak 40 was immensely heavier than the loads the Krupp was usually tasked to haul (2cm flak gun or 3.7cm Pak 35/36)

I think I know what you're referring to. That plate (Part B4) was normally stored in the upright position when the Pak was being moved or towed (that's why Tamiya suggests the 35degree bend) . However, when the gun was deployed, it dropped down to give more protection for the gun crew. As Tamiya made part B4 as a single piece, you'd have to cut it and fold it up for towed/moving position. Otherwise leave it as is.

Anthony,
The paint numbers are actually on the back of the box mixed in with the conji but have look carefully. But at least you can read these instructions and know what they say.
Hope this helps out some.
Sorry but I just found this thread and and would have done this sooner.
