Hey,
I just started building Tamiya's 1/35 Famo halftrack + sd.ah.116 trailer.
My idea is to get this in a diorama with a destroyed Stug III on the trailer , and maybe the Flak 88 or the 6 ton crane also on the halftrack.
I have no clue if this even was posible, so I'm asking it here
18ton Famo that has to pull a flak/crane and a tank might be to heavy
Thx for the help,
Grts

I'm probably wrong, but i had a look on the net, and i believe the stug III weighed in at 26 tons, and the FAMO only had a towing capacity of 18 tons.
So i doubt just the one would tow a Stug III.

Scott: The Famo was designed to haul vehicles in the 25 ton range on the SdAnh 116 trailer.
The lighter SdAnh 115 trailer could haul Pz II type vehicles.

If you want you could put the crain on the farmo that would solve
the problem.

If you put the crane on the FAMO as well as having it tow the 88, and the trailer wouldn't this vehicle be overstressed?

If you look at the instructions for the kit it shows both Panzer Mk3 and Mark4 vehicles loaded on the trailer.

I think this is what the thread starter meant in his post, his question was could the famo tow the trailer while at the same time it had an 88 or crane mounted on the rear part of the famo chassis.
Mypwn personal opinion is no, but I think it would still make an interesting build.
