Hi Andy. I think it's a very good build. particular highlights for me are the base paint job and the air recognition flag.
I agree about the comments on the mud though. It looks a bit monotone and the edge is very sharp.
What you could try to blend it in is a wash of heavily thinned Tamiya Dark Earth where you have applied the mud so far, followed by a wash of Tamiya Buff. Then you could apply pigments (either ground pastels in earth shades or Mig) stippled on with an old, stiff-bristled brush (you could mix them into a thick paste with some thinner and plaster or polyfilla for extra texture first and then add some dry on top before that sets). Finally tie it all together by misting heavily thinned Tamiya Dark Earth over it. This is basically what I did on the Churchill.
