Whilst searching (largely fruitlessly) for reference images for the Revell braille scale Priest kit I finally discovered this site-with these great images of a model of the RHA Priest ....thought I'd share them with you guys--I think he's done an excellent job...
http://home.cfl.rr.com/modelerv/preist.html
There is also this amazing site run by the BBC (though I am biased as I worked on this project!!). Below are links to the memoir of a man who served in the 70th Field rgt RA - using Priests:

...the author also has later chapters talking about being in service with a Sexton-again with photos.
If anyone has any other images of the Priest in British service I'd be interested to see them.
Cheers

Hi
Have you tried the IWM photo database?
http://www.iwmcollections.org.uk/qryPhotoImg.asp
Most of the Priest photos are in collection 4700-39 (Italy), which saves searching through pictures of Vicars

HI David,
I did -and some were good-esp for exterior stowage refs -but not so hot on interior detail (apart from that great pic of the loaders)...and of course no colour. So that model site was a real find.
Cheers

The notorious subject of colour......
This one is landing in Sicily and should be Light Mud/Blue Black with White countershading (which is definitely visible under the nose).
This Tunisian one of 11RHA is more of a problem
The dark colour could be either Blue Black or OD (or another green even), while the light colour is from the spectrum of Stone/Desert Pink/Light Mud the British Army went through around the time of Alamein and after.

Hi David,
These are great images. I'm going to chicken and follow the scheme of the model in my first message...it looks like a fairly well-used colour scheme.
