While looking for a pic of the CLYs badge I came up an on-line catalogue for their museum collection (sadly only a tiny bit of it is on show). Anyway, amongst the collection is this model Crusader apparently made in 1942, showing a St Andrew's cross type marking on the engine deck

Same museum also has a wartime Sherman model wearing SCC2 and black, painted in the correct pattern, which is a little less likely.
