Australian troops in SVN also use US-made stuff. You can find fuel and oil cans, food container and such in the cheap Academy's "Tank Supply Set 2" (#1383) :

If the Australians used, US made stuff, gas cans for example, they could have been as old as WW2, once used, tossed! So you will be fine with any gas can from WW2 up till Vietnam...

Wow! Thanks for all the info. Also, I was reading about "hot boxes" which were U.S. made food insulation containers which could also keep your drinks cold. I'm not sure what they look like, anyone know?

Excellent! I think that covers everything. Thanks for all the info. Here's a couple of shots in progress. Using the Lionmarc turret and replaced the track guards with brass sheeting to represent an in-field modification. The originals buckled easily in the jungle conditions. Still yet to add angle iron to the guard. I'm using some cake tin foil bent with my hold n fold. Will add more photos when she's finished.

Cheers

Hi Roy
I have tried to download these several times before with no luck. The green bar just stops half-way. Any ideas?
Thanks

The Australian Army actually used mostly British Army based equipment during that period, since aside from the M-113 FOV's, everything we used since WW2 up to that point was British in origin. Ergo - water cans stowed on a VietNam Cent would be a combination of British & Aussie (we designed our own style - avail from Mouse House Ent), or all Aussie
